WELCOME TO LIBERTYFEST 2022 EDMOND, OKLAHOMA’S FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION.
It is with a great sense of pride and humility that I welcome all to join me in celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of “Edmond Fourth of July Festivals” known today as “LibertyFest”. In 1972 a handful of Edmond leaders came together with an idea to recognize the Fourth of July and include the citizens of Edmond. A small parade, a rodeo and a downtown dance were the first events for the celebration in 1972. I am proud to be a small part of the many volunteers that assemble each year to continue the traditions started by so few 50 years ago. Attend and enjoy.

We are more than ready for healthy, fun and safe LibertyFest for 2022. It is my pleasure to thank the hundreds of volunteers that make LibertyFest a successful Fourth of July celebration. I must express gratitude to all our generous and loyal sponsors. THANK YOU, we could not continue without you. I would be remiss not to extend our gratitude to all who attend our events.
While I have the opportunity, as KiteFest chairman, I want to personally invite one and all to join me outdoors and “go fly a kite.”
I want to conclude with an invitation to you, your family and friends to join our Semi-Centennial celebration and experience family fun, freedom and patriotism during LibertyFest 2022.
