The eyewear specialists at Edmond Optical Shop take pleasure in helping their customers find comfortable glasses that fit their lifestyle and personality. Co-owner Vicki Masters says that the core values of the business have always been integrity, honesty, customer service, and quality.

The specialists at Edmond Optical Shop have the expertise and experience to provide their customers with thorough care. Lonnie Masters started making glasses when he was 18-years-old. Since then, both his wife, Vicki, and his son, Cody, have joined him to run this family business. Staff members Vickie Boggs and Debbie Hail also help to provide customers with a personalized and thorough experience.

Said Vicki, “Our goal, pretty much since we’ve been in Edmond is just to serve because that’s how we built it.” Located at 920 S. Bryant Ave, this family-owned-and-operated shop has been in Edmond since 1972. The Masters pride themselves on being able to offer top of line frames and lenses in a variety of prices.

“The exciting thing about 2020 is all the new things,” said Vicki. “We have a lens now that’s like an iMax theater. There are no distortions. It really is amazing.”

Customers have more options when it comes to lenses than ever before. Edmond Optical Shop offers progressives, single vision, bifocal, trifocal, Transitions lenses, Polaroid’s, and anti-reflective coatings. “Pretty much all the lenses come with the scratch coating and UV protection.” Said Vicki, “You can add the anti-reflection coating, which started out being used for night driving, but cosmetically it looks so much better.” Masters says that all of these options help them ensure that the customer is getting what they need.

“We carry the top of the line just because it’s important to give people the best,” said Vicki. “It’s important to us to at least tell the customer all the options, but most of the time they kind of have an idea what they want to do.”

The optical experts at the shop can help customers with lens selection, frame selection, and repairs. Edmond Optical Shop carries frames from Ray Ban, Kate Spade, Vera Wang, Coach, Polo,

and more. When considering buying new frames, Vicki says the most important things to consider are comfort, bridge fit, and temple fit.

“With frames and us being certified opticians, we want lightweight frames,” said Vicki. “Since lightweight frames came into business, you aren’t adjusting peoples frames every day. You don’t constantly hurt here or constantly hurt there. That’s a big deal to us.”
