What is this program? EF University Foundation Program is a 6-, 9- or 11-month program of study that helps international students ful ll language and academic requirements for university entrance abroad. Intended for high school graduates, this program bridges the gap between a student’s previous education and what is expected of him or her at a university abroad. This additional year of secondary school studies is required for students seeking higher education in the United Kingdom and highly recommended for students who wish to study in the United States, Australia, Singapore or Germany. In Germany, the EF University Foundation Program focuses on preparing high school graduates for university entrance exams. Diploma in Business & Management
What is this program? The EF Diploma in Business & Management is an intensive 11-month program that prepares students for fasttrack entry to the second year of a UK undergraduate degree in a business or management-related eld. This program combines a condensed EF University Foundation Program, which is an entry requirement of a UK bachelor course, with a Certi cate of Higher Education in Business and Management, equivalent to the rst year of a bachelor’s degree. As a result, upon successful completion you may enter the second year of an undergraduate degree at one of our partner institutions. Program details 30 lessons of 40 minutes per week (20 hours) in the rst 16 weeks followed by 27 lessons of 40 minutes per week (18 hours) in the remaining 21 weeks, plus reading and exam weeks. (38 total hours)
Program duration 11 months, starting in August. A 30-week fast-track option is available for students who have completed an EF University Foundation Program, A-Levels, IB or equivalent. Locations EF Oxford English requirements IELTS score of 5.5, TOEFL 525 PBT/ 194 CBT/ 71 IBT. Students need to reach IELTS 6.0 to start stage two Results Program graduates gain a Certi cate of Higher Education in Business and Management from the University of Westminster and are guaranteed entry into the second year of a business related bachelor’s degree program in the UK.
EF Accelerated College Degree Program (ACDP)
What is this program? The EF Accelerated College Degree Program provides students who have not yet graduated from high school with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associate’s degree in the United States. The program is divided into two phases: The first phase of study takes place at an EF International Language Center where you’ll strengthen and reinforce your English fluency and academic writing skills. Phase two involves two years of academic study where you’ll earn your high school diploma and associate’s degree at a partner university. You’ll graduate at least one year earlier than your classmates back home – saving you time and money. After completion of your associate’s degree, you may choose to continue your university education by transferring your university credits towards the completion of a full bachelor’s degree. Program details ›› Phase one: 32 lessons per week (40-minute lessons) of intensive English language study at an EF school
›› Phase two: Completion of a high school diploma and associate’s degree at a partner institution Program duration 6, 9 or 11 months ( rst phase) followed by two years of university study at one of EF’s partner universities. Locations EF Seattle. Phase two of the EF Accelerated College Degree Program is spent at one of our partner colleges – choose from Green River College and Seattle Central College in the US. English requirements 6-month program: IELTS 5.0 or TOEFL 510/62 IBT or UPIBT 45 9-month program: IELTS 4.5, TOEFL 410 PBT/34 IBT or UPIBT 39 11-month program: IELTS 4.0 or TOEFL 343 PBT/19 IBT or UPIBT 33 Results Complete your university studies up to one year earlier than finishing high school in your home country.
EF University Transition Program
What is this program? This program enables high school graduates to fast track their bachelor’s degree completion from one of our partner American universities. A combination of English, academic and study skills provide up to 21 academic credits from the partner US university. Upon successful completion of your program, you’ll be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at one of our partner universities complete with the credits you’ve earned – enabling you to complete your university studies in three years. Program details Earn up to 30 college credits during the EF University Transition Program and enter the second year of university studies, saving a whole year of study. Program duration 1, 2 or 3 terms (up to 14 weeks each). Start dates in January, May and September
Locations EF Boston at Suffolk University, EF Language Preparation Programs for these locations are undertaken at EF Boston. English requirement 3 term program: 45 UPibt/B2-1 or TOEFL equivalent. 2 term program: 50 UPibt/B2-2 or TOEFL equivalent. 1 term program: 55 UPibt/B2-3 or TOEFL equivalent. Minimum GPA 2.5. Graduation requirement Overall GPA 2.0 (university and EF classes). Cumulative GPA 2.0 (university classes only). TOEFL waived by EF partner institutions and replaced by EF Level C1-1 for all universities (except Suffolk University, which requires level C1) Results Guaranteed admission to bachelor’s degree program at the relevant US partner university with up to 30 credits (accelerating degree completion by saving up to one year of study).
