Talking with Tom McGregor – Teacher at EF Executive Institute, Boston What’s your teaching background and what do you enjoy most about EF? I have many years experience as a member of the teaching staff, and experience working for the business side of EF too. I enjoy moving between these roles in order to replicate our success among the clients we serve. What are the benefits of the Executive program? It is a process of discovery rather than a set curricula. We begin with a needs analysis of language skills, then connect these to the client’s professional work challenges. The client comes away with tangible competencies: better presentations; negotiation strategies; relevant teleconference tactics; more cogent writing skills - all customized to their work responsibilities.

Can you describe the atmosphere in the school? Collegial, professional and inquisitive. In what ways do you see development in the professionals you teach? The number one factor is their newfound confidence to communicate business issues to a global audience and propose solutions that meet the needs of their company or employer.
