Program overview
Advantages
The EF Accelerated College Degree Program provides students who have not yet graduated from high school with the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and an associates degree in the United States.
Save time -- You can study abroad after graduating from Form 4 and 5. Then, complete a undergraduate degree within 5 years – ensuring that you save at least one year in comparison to a regular application. Save money -- A typical year of tuition at US public universities is approximately $30,000. Comparatively, at an EF connected Community College the yearly cost is about $10,000. Consequently, you will save at least $40,000 in the first 2 years of college. -- Improve your language and academic skills without having to prepare for SAT and TOEFL exams. This saves you having to pay expensive exam fees. Apply to better universities -- Studying at a Community College will help increase the chance of transferring into top US universities. -- EF University Preparation courses offer college visits, college applications and one-on-one college counselling. University Preparatory Classes -- A small group of between 15 and 17 students in each class ensures that each individual benefits from close contact with the teacher, and has the opportunity to contribute regularly in class. Students enrol from over 100 countries around the world, creating a dynamic international environment. -- Courses are specially designed for case studies and small group discussions, providing students with a real American classroom environment.
Three step pathway Step 1. EF University Preparation Program -- Studying in EF Seattle for 6, 9, 11 or 14 months -- Receive EF Academic English Test B2 or above Step 2. Community College General Education -- Attend Seattle Central Community College or GreenRiver College -- Earn a US high school diploma and associate's degree at a partner university after two years of academic studies Step 3. Transfer to the US undergraduate in Year 3 -- Transfer to US undergraduate colleges with a average 3.0 GPA and above in US Community Colleges. -- Transfer credits from community colleges to university undergraduate degrees. After completing the undergraduate junior and junior year, you will receive a diploma and bachelor's degree from an undergraduate university.
