Pre-PHD Program 32 lessons / 30 lessons of 40 minutes per week (21 hours / UK 20 hours) Students receive intensive classroom tuition over the course of their three or four terms. In addition, they are expected to carry out significant autonomous self-study in order to complete homework tasks and write both their thesis proposal and their literature review. Pre-Master’s and Pre-MBA Program 32 lessons / 30 lessons of 40 minutes per week (21 hours / UK 20 hours) The EF Pre-Master’s & PreMBA Program consists of three main areas: language study, academic skills and specialist modules. Specialist modules are academic classes which enable students to gain confidence studying their chosen subject.

English requirement -- 11-month program: IELTS 5.0 TOEFL 410 PBT/ 180 CBT/ 62 IBT -- 9-month program: IELTS 5.5 TOEFL 525 PBT/ 194 CBT/ 71 IBT or the equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test. -- 6-month program: IELTS 6.0 TOEFL 550 PBT/ 213 CBT/ 81 IBT or the equivalent on the free EF UPiBT test. For the UK, a SELT (Secure English Language Test) is required in order to obtain a visa.
