This carefully composed course of 26 weekly lessons (total tuition time of 17 hours and 20 minutes) is designed for you to gain a sound understanding of a language through a well-rounded learning experience.
Our General Language Lessons build your grammar and vocabulary through a combination of digital learning and classroom based lessons. Project Sessions will help you further improve your research and communication skills through practical work tailored to your interests.
Make your course yours with four personally selected Special Interest Classes (SPINs) or academic activities, which focus your studies on the subjects you most want to learn – whether that’s your destination’s culture, career development or the arts. You’ll also benefit from two Lecture Sessions, which further reinforce your listening comprehension and cultural knowledge.

Description
Make maximum progress during your time abroad. The highly structured intensive curriculum consists of 32 lessons a week (total tuition time of 21 hours and 20 minutes) and will have you speaking and writing with confidence in no time.
Our intensive course offers the maximum number of Special Interest Classes per week, meaning you’ll be able to hone in on the areas that mean most to you. Whether they are language, culture, academic, or professional-focused, you’ll develop at a faster rate while building your language foundations.
EF Intensive is our most popular course, especially for those with a specific language focus they wish to explore. Not only will you maximize the amount your language skills improve, you will also benefit from more time to collaborate with fellow students. This extra interaction will enable you to communicate in a more natural way and at a faster rate than on other courses.
