From one side of America to the other. The USA is a land of curiosity, contradition and cool contemporary culture. Experience it all with an EF adventure from the eastern seaboard to the sun-drenched West Coast, passing through some of the continent’s key destinations and putting your language skills to the test along the way.

ONE CONTINENT. A WHOLE WORLD OF EXPERIENCES. From the earliest European settlers, to today’s tourists, America’s allure has entranced the world for generations. This vast land of opportunity is a patchwork of unique cultures and experiences – and perhaps the most famous regions in this fascinating network are historical New England and the sun-soaked Californian coast. Traveling from one side of the continent to the other, you’ll enjoy the best that the east and west coasts have to offer – improving your English skills through real-world practice at every opportunity. Landing in Boston, you’ll spend two days exploring this New England city on walking tours and other urban excursions. You’ll then transfer to New York, where you’ll explore the most iconic sights the Big Apple has to offer. Stopping at Philadelphia en route, you’ll head to Washington, D.C. to explore the museums and monuments of America’s capital city, before catching a flight across the continent to California and the west coast. Your first stop is San Francisco, home of the Golden Gate Bridge and hill-riding cable cars. After a few days to make the most of the city, you’ll transfer to Los Angeles, with a stop for dinner at Santa Barbara on the way. Once you’ve arrived in L.A., you’ll experience top attractions including Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo and Sea World before making your way back to Los Angeles and home.

COAST-TO-COAST USA IN FOCUS: YOUR ITINERARY DAYS 1-2: BEGIN IN BOSTON

Anyone who’s familiar with Europe will feel right at home in this old American city. Steeped in history, you’ll find colonial culture come alive on Boston’s streets, with its grand parks and squares. With an EF Leader by your side, you’ll explore the red-brick delights of the city center along famous Newbury Street, checking out some shops and ordering a snack along the way. You’ll even take to the water for a classic Boston Duck Tour and then reach for the stars at the Prudential Skywalk Observatory. Destination highlights: > Tour around Boston – by land and sea – to see the city’s top sights > Special dinner at Faneuil Hall

DAYS 3-4: NEW YORK, THE BIG APPLE!

From Boston, you’ll travel on to iconic New York. In this world-famous city, you’ll take a tour to see the top sights including the 9/11 memorial, Chinatown, Little Italy and more. You’ll also investigate the Empire State Building at night, making time to stop and practice your language skills along the way. The next day, your further adventures in the ‘Big Apple’ begin by exploring the Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Central Park. You’ll catch a Broadway show before you depart this unforgettable city. Destination highlights: > Take a tour to explore the best of Manhattan > Photo opportunities and time to enjoy the atmosphere in iconic locations like Central Park and Times Square

DAYS 5-6: THE CAPITAL OF THE USA

As you travel toward America’s capital city, Washington, D.C., you’ll pause at majestic Mount Vernon for a photo opportunity above the Potomac river. Later, you’ll take a candlelit Legends of Alexandria tour and hear folklore and ghost stories to round off an exciting day of travel. In the morning, get ready to explore the other essential sights that America’s capital city has to offer. Washington D.C. isn’t just the home of some of the world’s most important political decisions – it’s also an exciting city where history and culture combine to offer an unforgettable experience. You’ll see sights you’ll instantly recognize, including the iconic White House – and even some sights you might not have expected. You’ll also make a pit stop at some local boutiques, making sure you put your English to the test. DAYS 7-9: SAY HELLO TO SAN FRANCISCO

After a cross-country flight to California you’ll find yourself in San Francisco, on America’s sunny west coast. Home to some of the most creative and quirky souls on the planet, this city is also home to the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge. Get ready to explore every corner of the city, from Chinatown to vibrant Fisherman’s Wharf. You’ll also visit an aquarium, planetarium and natural history museum at the California Academy of Sciences. There’s even time for a trail through incredible giant redwood trees, just outside the city in Muir Woods. Destination highlights: > Explore San Francisco, with sights including the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and eclectic Chinatown > Stand under giant redwood trees in Muir Woods

DAYS 10-12: LIFE , LOS ANGELES STYLE

DAYS 13-15: SUNNY SAN DIEGO

After the excitement of Los Angeles, America’s entertainment capital, prepare for more Californian adventures as you arrive in San Diego. This southernmost city of the Golden State offers everything from beaches to beluga whales. Your first stop is San Diego’s famous zoo, home to exotic and fascinating creatures from all over the world. Afterwards, you’ll head into the center of the city to see the most famous sights and practice your English; from Balboa Park and La Jolla, to Coronado Island and the Pacific Beach area. Afterwards, prepare to get wet at world-famous SeaWorld, where you’ll get up close to dolphins, whales, sharks, penguins and much more. Destination highlights: > Marvel at beaches and city attractions on a fun sightseeing tour > Enjoy a day at San Diego Zoo, followed by dinner > Day to explore SeaWorld and get up close to marine creatures

There’s more to Los Angeles than just glitz and glamour. Thanks to a deliciously warm climate, it’s home to some of the best beaches on America’s west coast. Find out for yourself, with some free time at Venice Beach, as soon as you arrive in Los Angeles, followed by a guided sightseeing tour of the city to explore locations from the Walk of Fame to the Hollywood sign. The next morning, take a trip to Universal Studios with your new friends and step behind the scenes to see how some of your favorite blockbusters came to life. Finish the evening with dinner at Universal CityWalk, amid shops and restaurants right in the center of all the the Universal Studios action. Destination highlights: > Stretch out on the sand at famous Venice Beach > See the sights of Los Angeles, including the iconic Hollywood sign and the Walk of Fame > Experience Universal Studios and have dinner in the middle of the action at Universal CityWalk
