The Atlantic Reader Book 1 Workbook is designed to support pupils learning to read
and is to be used with the Atlantic Reader 1. The introductory, phonics and vocabulary
activities should be completed before the child attempts to read the book.
When pupils use the workbook alongside the reader, it will help to integrate and build the
skills that are necessary for reading success.
The workbook will help pupils to successfully:

• Blend letter sounds and word parts to sound out words
