Training and Assessment

• Throughout the course, trainees have online training sessions every 2-3 weeks.

• Training is 100% online. Assessment is continuous throughout the course with reviews each half term.

• Trainees compile an ePortfolio of evidence which includes examples of your planning and teaching, leading practice, reflections and research. The ePortfolio is uploaded and stored on our online platform, accessible to a trainee, their professional critical friend and tutor.

• Trainees will have a placement in reception year to teach phonics and maths (2 blocks of 10 mornings minimum), normally in the Spring term.

• Trainees demonstrate that they meet the Teachers Standards Early Years and mastery of the EYITT curriculum.
