THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR A REGIO EMILIA SCHOOL WHOSE PEDAGOGY IS “...STUDENTCENTERED AND UTILIZES SELF-DIRECTED, EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING IN RELATIONSHIP-DRIVEN ENVIRONMENTS. THE PROGRAM IS BASED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, AND COMMUNITY THROUGH EXPLORATION AND DISCOVERY THROUGH A SELF-GUIDED CURRICULUM.” THUS, THE PROJECT FOCUSES ON INTERACTIVE LEARNING ENVIORNMENTS AND MATERIALS, FLEXIBLE INDOOR AND OUTDOOR SPACE, AS WELL AS CAPTURING VIEWS OF THE CITY.

THE ARIZONA SUNLINK ASKED FOR A NEW TRAINSTOP PROGRAM AT THE END OF AN EXTENSION THAT EXTENDED INTO NORTHERN TUCSON. THE COMPANY ASKED FOR A SHELTER THAT PROVIDED TONS OF SHADE, NATURAL SUNLIGHT, AND SPACE FOR A PUBLIC MARKET.

THE CEAC CENTER IS CREATING A NEW BUILDING TO HOUSE THE UNIVERSITY’S NEW VERTICAL FARM AND PROVIDE LIVING QUARTERS FOR THE WORKERS. THE DESIGN FOCUSES ON VIEWS, GAINING PUBLIC ATTRACTION TO THE SITE, AND CIRCULATION.
