SURAHS AND SEPHIROT
Riddles and Rhymes for Engineering a Synectic Algorithm
Introduction This series of paintings sets out to further explore my fascination with the synectics-concept as a “beyond-brainstorming approach to problem solving and a new kind of science. I have created a new series of 18 paintings within a metaphysical context using a fusion of language ranging from both Sufi and Kabbalistic Mysticism as the initial subject matter. This data string shares the same ideas about a Tree of Life and a Science of Letters both equally determined to find the Straight Path and discover the Duties of the Heart. Along with additional tags like Phi, the Golden Ratio, the Intention Experiment and the XOI principle as components for my SEO modeling methods, I am using this information to crisscross between ancient mysticism and modern science. My collective body of paintings although very similar in monochromatic palette and purely gestural abstraction on canvas, has been a running discourse where these titles are but conceptual placeholders for a dialog that continues to investigate synectics as a conversation connecting the dots within a vast matrix of purely abstract ideas, data and concepts; presenting clues for understanding both future mindsteps and a path to the most hidden of all hidden.
