PLAYER OF THE YEAR ASHLEY RAINEY Tuscaloosa County Senior, Pitcher/First Base First-team Class 6A All-State utility player; had a 31-14 record with eight shutouts; threw 20 straight shutout innings in the North-Central Regional; 314 strikeouts in 305 innings pitched; hit .388 with 16 home runs and 48 RBIs; Troy University signee.

MADISON LADURON Demopolis, Junior, Pitcher Honorable mention Class 5A All-State; went 31-8 with a 1.71 ERA; struck out 203 batters in 2202⁄3 innings; had 12 shutouts and two no-hitters.

Northside, Junior, Shortstop Honorable mention Class 3A All-State; hit .358 with 59 hits in 53 games; had 17 doubles, two triples and a home run; scored 49 runs, drove in 35 and stole 48 bases.
Hillcrest, Junior, Shortstop Honorable mention Class 6A All-State as a designated hitter; .424 batting average with 41 RBIs, 15 doubles and 11 home runs.

South Lamar, Junior, Pitcher First-team Class 1A All-State; posted a 24-5 record as the Lady Stallions finished second to champion Ragland; struck out 230 batters in 1941⁄3 innings; had 10 shutouts, two no-hitters and a 1.30 ERA.
Tuscaloosa Academy, Sophomore, Outfield First-team AISA All-State; hit .481 with 20 doubles, two triples and two home runs; scored 44 runs and drove in 37; walked 35 times and stole 16 bases; .615 slugging percentage.
CHANDLER DARE American Christian Academy Sophomore, Shortstop First-team Class 2A All-State; set an AHSAA single-season record with a .658 batting average; scored 49 runs and stole 42 bases; had 14 RBIs, five triples and three doubles; struck out four times in 114 at-bats.
