Greensboro, Sophomore 6-foot-9, Forward/Center First-team All-State; most outstanding player in the AHSAA Class 3A tournament as the Raiders won their first basketball title; had 15 points, 13 rebounds and 9 blocked shots in Greensboro’s win over Clarke County in the final; had 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 blocks when Greensboro edged Sumter County in the Central Regional final; averaged 10.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.6 blocks and 1.8 assists per game.

Pickens Academy, Senior 6-foot-2, Guard AISA Player of the Year; scored a career-best 46 points in the Class AA title game as the Pirates finished second to Evangel Christian; scored 42 points in a semifinal win over Patrician Academy; scored 30 or more points nine times and 40 or more four times; 1,689 career points; led the team in points (27.2 per game), rebounds (6.4) and assists (4.2); averaged 3 steals per game.
Hillcrest, Senior 6-foot-7, Forward Most outstanding player in the AHSAA Class 6A tournament; had 20 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 assists as Hillcrest defeated Murphy 48-46 in the championship game; scored the go-ahead basket with 45 seconds left; first team All-Sate; averaged 18.1 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game; Area 9 tournament MVP; Northeastern University signee.
Pickens County, Senior 6-foot, Guard Class 1A Player of the Year; most outstanding player in the AHSAA Class 1A tournament; had 20 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals in a semifinal win over Keith; 22 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 70-62 in overtime win over Cedar Bluff in the title game; averaged 12.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists; finished season with 113 steals; football signee with Shaw University.
KEVIN MAY Sumter County, Senior, 5-foot-5, Guard Class 3A Player of the Year; named to the state Super 5 by the Alabama Sports Writers Association; averaged 24 points, 6 assists and 4 steals per game; scored more than 2,000 points in four-year career; scored a career-best 40 points, 30 in the second half, in a November win against Class 6A Bob Jones.
