Please read all instructions carefully before beginning. Strips are cut across the width of fabric WOF (perpendicular to selvedges) unless otherwise stated. All seams are sewn with 1/4" seam unless otherwise stated. Label all pieces.

Patch blocks: These are the alternate setting squares in the quilt.
• Cut (3) 9 1/2" x WOF strips. Subcut (12) 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" squares.
Block A:
• Cut (1) 5" x WOF strip. Subcut (8) 5" x 5" squares.
• Cut (1) 10" x WOF strip. Subcut (4) 10" x 10" squares.
Block B:
• Cut (12) 5" x WOF strips. Subcut (96) 5" x 5" squares.
Block C:
• Cut (3) 2 3/4" x WOF strips. Subcut (40) 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" squares.

Piecing Instructions:
Block identification
Note:Background is colored white in pattern instructions to provide clarity in showing how the blocks are constructed.
Constructing Block A
1. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) 10" x 10" Background square. Place square, right sides together, on (1) 10" x 10" Blue Check square. Sew 1/4" away from both sides of drawn line. Cut along drawn line to yield 2 HST units. Open and press. Trim units to measure 9 1/2" x 9 1/2" unfinished. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) 5" x 5" Background square. Place square, right sides together at the corner of Blue Check in HST unit. Sew on drawn line. Trim 1/4" away from sewn line. Open and press to reveal corner triangle. Make a total of (4) blocks. Repeat to make (4) Green Check blocks.

Constructing Block B
1. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) 5" x 5" Background square. Place square, right sides together, at the top left corner of (1) 5" x 9 1/2" Teal Dot rectangle. Sew on drawn line. Trim 1/4" away from sewn line. Open and press to reveal corner triangle. Repeat with (1) 5" x 5" Background square at the diagonally opposite corner of the same rectangle, followed by (1) 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" Teal Dot square at the bottom right corner to make a unit, as shown.

2. Repeat to make a mirror-imaged unit, and sew units together to complete (1) block. Make a total of (4) blocks. Repeat to make (4) Blue Dot blocks.

3. Repeat to steps 1 and 2 to make (6) Yellow Dot and (6) Lime Dot blocks with Orange Dot smaller corner triangles; and (4) blocks with Red Dot smaller corner triangles.
3. Sew (2) 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Orange Dot squares to the opposite short sides of (1) step 1 unit to make a row unit. Make a total of (2) row units.

4. Sew together row units made in steps 2 and 3 to complete (1) block. Make a total of (4) Orange Dot and (1) Red Dot blocks.

Constructing Block C

1. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Background square. Place square, right sides together, at a corner of (1) 2 3/4" x 5" Orange Dot rectangle. Sew on drawn line. Trim 1/4" away from sewn line. Open and press to reveal corner triangle. Repeat with another 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" Background square at the opposite corner of the same rectangle to make a flying geese unit. Make a total of (4) units.

Constructing Block D
1. Draw a diagonal line on the wrong side of (1) 6" x 6" Background square. Place square, right sides together, on (1) 6" x 6" Red Dot square. Sew 1/4" away from both sides of drawn line. Cut along drawn line to yield (2) HST units. Open and press. Trim units to measure 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" unfinished.

Quilt top assembly:
Finishing:
1. Prepare backing to measure 94" x 94".
2. Layer quilt, batting and backing. Baste layers together and quilt as desired.
3. Trim layers even with quilt top squaring corners.
4. Fold the binding fabric strip wrong sides together; press. Sew binding to the quilt using your preferred method.
