Explanation of the design challenge to the students: “Designing a primitive balloon-powered or rubber band-powered car” Providing the students with specific criteria and constraints, such as: a maximum size or weight limit the need for the car to travel a certain distance incorporating a specific feature, such as aesthetic look or special structure or body and hook
Students will be encouraged to think creatively, experiment, and iterate on their designs during the workshop.
Final Results or Outcome:
The goal of the workshop is for students to design, build, and test their own functioning balloon-powered or rubber band-powered car within the given time frame.
The final result will be a physical product that the students can take home and showcase to others.
A mini-competition will be organized at the end of the workshop where students can race their cars and demonstrate their functionality.
