Science Fiction as a Strategy in Education Al-Suwaiyel is a prominent figure in Saudi Arabia, holding various leadership positions. He has served as a professor, dean, and Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology. Al-Suwaiyel's career includes being a member of the Board of Economic Affairs and Development, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Communications and Information Technology Commission, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Postal Corporation. He earned a Bachelor's degree in General Engineering in 1972, followed by a Master's degree in 1975 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California in 1979.

He received his degrees from the University of Washington. He currently serves as Professor and Director of the AI and Sensing Technologies (AIST) Research Center at the University of Tabuk. His research interests include AI, integrated sensing and communication, and power systems. He published papers in prestigious journals and holds numerous patents.

Senior Partner, CognoVation, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Dr. Mazhar Ali Bari is a seasoned expert in Deeptech and Cleantech, with over 20 years of diverse industrial experience. Currently serving as the Regional Director at WAIYS, he specializes in low latency, cognitive, real-time AI, and sustainable supercomputing using neuromorphic computing chip technology. Dr. Bari has held key positions at KACARE, Ajlan & Bros, and Siemens (Saudi Arabia), where he pioneered the introduction of the first industrial IoT Platform, 'MindSphere In-Kingdom Cloud,' hosted on a local data center. With an MPhil in Microelectronic Engineering and Semiconductor Physics, a PhD in High-temperature Superconducting Qubits from the University of Cambridge (UK), and an International Executive MBA from the University College Dublin, he possesses a strong educational foundation. Dr. Bari is a visiting Professor at the School of Physics at University College Dublin and has authored 10 patents and 20 publications. His interests span Cognitive infrastructure, Quantum computing, Robotics, Space technologies, Autonomous systems, Ethical AI, and the Metaverse.

Yasser Bahjat is the co-founder of Yatakhayaloon, an engineer, a novelist and a translator.

Yasser Bahjat has a master's degree in Future Technologies from Singulari- ty University at the NASA Research Center in Silicon Valley. He wrote his novel "Qetqania: The Ancient World" in Arabic and English. Yasser Bahjat is the cofounder of Yatakhayaloon, founder of several companies, engi- neer, entrepreneur, business development consultant, expert in future tech- nologies, novelist and translator.
