As a graduate of our MSc program, you can look forward to a bright future in a whole host of roles and industries, including:
• A GPA of 2.75 on a scale of 4.00 or 3.75 on a scale of 5, or equivalent.
Translators and interpreters in public and private institutions (e.g. banks, hospitals, courts, embassies, consulates, educational institutions) and other akin national and international organizations.
• A minimum score of 550 on your TOEFL test, 6 on IELTS, or their equivalent.
Translators and interpreters in the field of media and journalism.
• General Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or STEP (Verbal 154 Quantitative 158).
Freelance translators in various sectors such as the educational, business, medical, scientific, legal, religious and political sectors.
• At least two letters of recommendation. • A completed application form, along with a brief statement of purpose. • To have successfully passed your interview with Preparatory Courses for Graduate Program.
Students who do not fulfill the admission requirements should take our one-year Pre-Graduate Program.
Master of Science in Translation Studies
Translators and interpreters in translation and interpreting agencies that offer translation and interpreting services in national and international conferences, symposiums, workshops and other types of gatherings. Faculty members and project managers who can train students in applied translation and interpreting skills while conducting research work in the field of Translation and Interpreting.
What do you need to graduate? You’ll complete a total of 45 credit hours, across four semesters. This includes 12 three-credit courses, and the completion of an original thesis (nine credits). Within two years, you will complete four core courses, four technical core courses and four technical elective courses.
