It all started when I crumpled up a piece of paper a little bit

What I learned: Grey is not following the rule of field. it is creating a line: The Green area is a field because there are more than enough individual members, wheras the red is merged together and doesn’t really create a field: the red, blue and black sections are creating a large shape from the smaller components.
