INAUGURÉE EN 2002 PAR LA MAISON ALLEMANDE, L’ÉCOLE D’HORLOGERIE ALFRED HELWIG ASSURE LA PRÉSERVATION DU SAVOIR-FAIRE ANCESTRAL DE GLASHÜTTE EN FORMANT LES FUTURS MAÎTRES DU TEMPS.

Le 1er mai 1878. Glashütte. Parce qu’il lui tient à cœur d’assurer le rayonnement de son activité, l’industrie horlogère de la ville saxonne est à l’initiative de l’ouverture de la première école d’horlogerie en Allemagne. Nommé en hommage au maître horloger qui enseigna pendant de nombreuses années dans la première école, le lieu – pont entre passé, présent et avenir – est le garant du savoir-faire ancestral de la ville tout en étant l’instigateur d’installations de pointe, ceci dans le but de former la crème des futurs horlogers et outilleurs. Partenaire de la Fondation WOSTEP (Centre Suisse de Formation et de Perfectionnement Horloger), l’école leur propose également de compléter le diplôme allemand par un certificat suisse.

1 May 1878. Glashütte. To ensure that its activity was far reaching, the watch industry in the Saxon city worked to open the first school of watchmaking in Germany. Its goals? To pass on tradition and train the skilled watchmakers of tomorrow. For over 114 years, the institution brilliantly fulfilled its missions, contributing to the industry’s growth. In 2002, Glashütte Original honoured the institution’s principles by opening the Alfred Helwig School of Watchmaking in the building that had housed the age-old school.

Hommage à la tradition de la ville de Glashütte, l’école est aussi ancrée dans le présent en se dotant d’installations de pointe.

Named in tribute to the master watchmaker who had taught for many years at the first school, today’s school, a bridge between the past, present and future, is the guarantor of the city’s ancestral knowledge while also embracing its cutting-edge facilities in order to train tomorrow’s top watchmakers and toolmakers. Moreover, through a partnership with WOSTEP (Watchmakers of Switzerland Training and Educational Program), the school offers the opportunity to complement the German diploma with a Swiss certification.
