Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation at the Postl Point marina for a Watercraft Orientation course! Beginner boaters are invited to learn the basics of watercraft operation including starting, shifting, anchoring, parking, tying knots and operating pontoon and fishing boats safely. The Eglin Golf Course offers a four-class introduction to golf designed for women, by women! Experience the thrill of offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with Eglin Outdoor Recreation aboard the popular "Sweet Jody" party-charter fishing boat. Cost is $30 per person and includes (but is not limited to) the boat trip, tackle, bait, fishing poles, instruction, bottled water and snacks. Your catch will be filleted, bagged and put on ice for your trip home. Preregistration is required, and spots are limited. Saturday, March 19 9 am Shotgun Start Wear your luckiest green for the Eglin Golf Course's Lucky Leprechaun Golf Tournament! Players will pick their own teams of four to play on the Eagle course. Full Moon Kayak Friday, March 18 | 7 pm Friday, April 15 | 7 pm
Come paddle with Eglin Outdoor Recreation out fromPostl Point to see the full moon rise over the bay. This two-hour guided excursion will take participants on a kayaking trip to a small secluded beach for an amazing view of the night sky, s'mores and a moonlit paddle back to Postl Point. Participation is open to all base personnel and registered guests, ages 16 and older, who have some prior kayaking experience. Cost is $25 per person and includes all necessary equipment and ingredients for s'mores. Single and double kayaks are available. Disc Golf 101
Sunday, March 20 | 1 pm Friday, April 29 | 4 pm Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you to learn the sport of Disc Golf, with a fun and instructional clinic geared to introduce beginners as well as hone the skills of experienced players. This twohour class will cover basic to intermediate Disc Golf technique while playing the 18-hole course at Postl Point. Cost is $20 per person, and all base personnel are welcome. Dog Obedience Classes
April 6 - May 4 | Wednesdays 5-6 pm May 10 - June 7 | Tuesdays 5-6 pm Can't get Rover to roll over? Basic Dog Obedience is just what your pup needs! Classes are specialized for pups over four months of age, or adult dogs who have had no previous training. Your canine companion will learn basic obedience commands and good doggy manners, and individual behavioral problems such as excessive barking and jumping will be addressed. Course sessions last five weeks, with classes held for a maximumof 10 dogs. The first class meeting will be for owners only (no dogs should attend, please!). Cost for each five-week course is $80 and includes everything needed to participate. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough; owners are asked to bring their dog's shot record to the first class. RecOn: Tandem Skydiving

Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation on a day trip to Bonifay, Florida (www.xtremeskydivers.com) for the ultimate thrill —TandemSkydiving! Jump fromnearly 14,000 feet, falling about 1,000 feet every six seconds at 120 mph. Cost is $50 per person. Participants must provide their own transportation to 1983 Tri County Airport Road, Bonifay, FL(Approx. 1-hour 45-minute drive from Eglin). Photos and videos may be purchased at the site. Participants must be 18 years or older, in good health and physical condition, and should not be on medication which could affect judgment or performance. There is no height restriction, but the weight limit is 230 pounds. A weigh-in is required on flight day, and even one pound over the limit will prohibit participation. The Eglin Youth Program needs volunteer coaches for the 2022 spring season of Youth Baseball. Mandatory certification training is fully provided, and coaches receive a $60 registration discount for players in their family. The Eglin Youth Center is hosting the 2022 America’s Kids Color Run on Friday, April 1! Participants will be doused in a rainbow of cornstarch-based chalk paint during this event.
