Glow in the Dark Disc Golf
Saturday, November 3 | 7 pm
Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites all disc golf enthusiasts out to Postl Point for a round of Glow In The Dark Disc Golf. When the sun goes down, the fun begins! Outdoor Rec will provide players with special lights for their discs, and can provide discs as well, if needed. At least 9 out of 18 baskets on the course will be illuminated with LED lighting. Cost to play is $5 per person. Prior disc golf experience is recommended, but all skill levels may join. Participants are encouraged to bring bottled

Snorkeling at the Navarre Reef Saturday, November 3 | 9 am Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation for a 2-3 hour snorkeling excursion at the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary, where all kinds of ocean life can be found... maybe even sea turtles! Family Fun Golf Sundays | Discounts begin at 2 pm It’s family fun on the Falcon Course every Sunday afternoon starting at 2 p.m.! Get Golf Ready! First Monday-Friday Each Month 4:30-6 pm (Winter Hours) In just five lessons, we’ll give you the game of a lifetime! The Eglin Golf Course presents “Get Golf Ready!”—an introductory golf program for ages 14 through adult. Whether you’re a complete beginner, or just haven’t played in some time, you’ll be right into the swing of things after just five lessons. Get Golf Ready is a nationwide initiative by the USGA, PGA, PGA Tour, and LPGA to engage golfers and is taught by Eglin’s PGA Professional. The clinic consists of four lessons and one day of “on course” instruction. Evening sessions are held MondayFriday, the first full week of each month. Cost is $99 per person. Turkey Shoot Archery Competition Sunday, November 18 | 1 pm Eglin Outdoor Recreation is holding a Turkey Shoot Archery Competition. A frozen turkey will be awarded to first place winners in three divisions — Men’s, Women’s, and Children (under age 12). Entry fee is $15 per person and includes use of Outdoor Rec’s top-of-theline archery equipment. Please do not bring personal equipment. Full Moon Kayak Friday, November 23 | 7 pm Friday, December 21 | 7 pm Come paddle with Eglin Outdoor Recreation, out from Postl Point to see the full moon rise
over the bay. This two-hour guided excursion will take participants on a kayaking trip to a small secluded beach for an amazing view of the night sky, a small fire with s’mores, and a moonlit paddle back to Postl Point. Participation is open to all base personnel and registered guests, ages 16 and older, who have some prior kayaking experience. Cost is $20 per person and includes all necessary equipment. Single and double kayaks are available. Participants are encouraged to bring bottled water and a flashlight, and to wear non-cotton clothing. Wild Adventures Christmas Trip Saturday, December 8 Enjoy a holiday of thrilling roller coasters and family-friendly rides in a place known for wild adventures! Join Eglin ITT on a day trip to Valdosta, Georgia, to Wild Adventures Theme Park. The park will be decked out in its holiday best and will feature special seasonal activities, including visits with Safari Santa and Mrs. Claus, live Christmas shows, rides on the Candy Cane

(Returning cheerleaders pay only $25 if they already have a uniform.) All participants must be age 5 prior to Nov. 3, 2018, and under age 13 prior to March 2, 2019. Basketball player evaluations will be held Nov. 15 at 5:30 p.m. for ages 9-12; players under age 9 will be placed on teams according to age group, without evaluations. Persons interested in a career as an Eglin Family Child Care (FCC) provider can obtain licensing through the Eglin FCC office and earn a potential monthly income of $4,500! Any on-base individual providing care for another family’s child for more than 10 hours a week on a regular basis must be licensed. Providers are needed to offer care for a wide variety of needs, including hourly, part time, full time, evenings, weekends, special needs, and overnight care. The Eglin FCC office is also seeking individuals living off-base in the surrounding communities to become licensed affiliated child care providers. Affiliated providers must be spouses of a military ID card holder (active or retired) and must meet the State of Florida registered requirements prior to receiving an affiliated certificate from the Eglin MSG commander.
