WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS And just down the road I was surprised to find Santa Waiting to be towed. This year he’d decided to skip the reindeer, To trade in the sleigh and shift into high gear! His ride was a Hemi V8, all-wheel-drive . . . But the tires were bald and blew out at fifty-five. “Sorry, Nick,” I consoled him, “For this unscheduled stop. Next time, pull in to EGLIN’S AUTO HOBBY SHOP! Their NEW TIRE SERVICE lets you order on-demand, Plus they mount / balance / install nearly every top brand!” Santa thanked me for the tip as Rudolph touched down To give Big Red a lift back home to Christmastown. And I heard him exclaim as he flew overhead, “CHECK YOUR TIRES, EVERYBODY AND MAKE SURE YOU’VE GOT TREAD!” 4
