All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Friday Cookout at The Bayview, featuring a FREE buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips and all the fixin's. Dog Obedience Classes Jan 22 - Feb 19: Tues | 5 - 6 pm Feb 20 - Mar 27: Weds | 5 - 6 pm Apr 2 - Apr 30: Tues | 5 - 6 pm Apr 17 - May 15: Weds | 5 - 6 pm
Can't get Rover to roll over? Basic Dog Obedience is just what your pup needs! Classes are specialized for pups over four months of age, or adult dogs who haven't had previous training. Your canine companion will learn basic obedience commands and good doggy manners, and individual behavioral problems such as excessive barking and jumping will be addressed. Course sessions last five weeks, with classes held for a maximum of 8 dogs. The first class meeting will be for owners only (no dogs should attend, please!). Cost for each five-week course is $75 and includes everything needed to participate. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough; all participants are asked to provide a shot record at the first meeting. Outdoor Rec | 850-882-5058
Baby Signs Workshop Tuesday • January 15 | 10 am
Join us for a Baby Signs Workshop to learn the benefits of introducing and using sign language to communicate with your baby. You'll learn basic signs, strategies, and techniques. The workshop is presented by the Panhandle Parent to Parent Educators as a part of the Eglin Library's Toddler Time program. The workshop is open to parents and kids. No registration is required. Sundays • Family Discounts begin at 2 pm | Falcon Course
It's family fun on the Falcon Course every Sunday afternoon starting at 2 pm! An adult accompanied by a child age 8 to 17 pays HALF-PRICE green fees, and the accompanying child plays for FREE. Golf cart and equipment rentals are available at regular price. The Pro Shop has balls, tees, sunscreen, hats, and everything needed to enjoy your afternoon together. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you to team up and battle it out with an exciting game of Laser Tag! Built-in options allow players to build their own games and customized player names, view game stats, enable teams and respawn, set time and ammo, and so much more. Cost is $15 per person. • Adult Archery Clinic

Eglin Outdoor Recreation offers an Adult Archery Clinic open to all base personnel. This 3-hour hands-on clinic will teach the basic skills and techniques of archery, including stance, draw and load, anchor, aim and expand, and release. Cost is $20 per person and includes use of Outdoor Rec's top-of-the-line archery equipment. Please do not bring personal equipment. • 1-Mile Resolution Run and Polar Bear Plunge

It's a new year — hit the ground running! Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center for the annual Resolution Run. This year's event features a 1-mile fun run from the start/finish line at Postl Point, where the annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place immediately following the run. Participation is FREE for all base personnel, and all ages are welcome. Runners are asked to be in place by 6:45 am for a 7 am start time.
