Resolution Run & Polar Bear Plunge

It's a new year — hit the ground running! Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center for the annual Resolution Run. This year's event features a 1-mile fun run from the start/finish line at Postl Point, where the annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place immediately following the run. Participation is FREE for all base personnel, and all ages are welcome. Runners are asked to be in place by 6:45 am for a 7 am start time. Fitness Center | 850-882-6223
Expectant Dad’s 101 Class

Attention, expectant fathers! Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center invites you to "Dad's 101: The Basics." This new parent support program is where new and soon-to-be dads can learn how to be an integral part of the pregnancy, childbirth, coping with crying, how to bathe a baby, and other baby care processes. Classes are held in two sessions, with first and second sessions held in alternating months. Class location is the West Gate Chapel, Bldg 2574. Please call to register for this program. The Airman & Family Readiness Center would like to introduce all of Eglin's military spouses to Heart Link—a top-notch program designed to provide spouses with a better understanding of the military way of life, with concentration on the Eglin mission, military customs, traditions, protocol, and knowledge of available resources and services. A fun-filled Heart Link orientation will be held at Eglin's A&FRC (Bldg. 205 on Van Matre Avenue), and all spouses are invited to attend. FREE continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you to team up and battle it out with an exciting game of Laser Tag! Experience complete gameplay at Postl Point, using the all-in-one Barracuda laser tag unit. Built-in options allow players to build their own games and customized player names, view game stats, enable teams and respawn, set time and ammo, and so much more. Cost is $15 per person. All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Mardi Gras celebration at The Bayview, featuring a FREE "N'awlins"-inspired buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Jambalaya, Red Beans and Sausage, Rice, Buttered Corn and more. • 2019 Eglin Senior Tournament
Saturday • February 16 | 8 am Shotgun Start Eagle Course
All golfers ages 50 and over are invited to play in Eglin's Senior Tournament. Flights include Championship, age 50 and over; Senior, ages 50-65; Super Senior, ages 66 and over; and Ladies, all ages. Pairings will be made based on handicap within flights/division by Golf Course management and announced the day prior to tournament play. Players without a USGA handicap must play as a scratch golfers. Entry fee is $35 Gold, $50 Silver, $75 Non AGF and includes greens fee, cart fee, skins and prizes.
