Youth Center Baseball Registration
Registration for Youth Baseball is now open!
Early Registration runs Jan. 14 - Feb. 15 Monday - Friday from 12 - 5:30 pm. Late Registration is Feb. 19 - Feb. 22.
All sign-ups after Feb. 15 will be charged a $10 late fee. Cost is $50 per child or $100 per family. Players must be age 5 before March 11, and under age 13 before May 8. Player evaluations for ages 9-12 are Feb. 26 at 5:30 pm. All players under 9 are placed on teams. Practices begin Tuesday, March 12. Games run Saturday, March 30 - May 18. Mandatory Sports Parent Orientation meetings will be held Tuesday, Feb. 19 and Thursday, Feb. 28 at 5:30 pm in the Eglin Youth Center Gym.

The Airman & Family Readiness Center would like to introduce all of Eglin's military spouses to Heart Link—a top-notch program designed to provide spouses with a better understanding of the military way of life, with concentration on the Eglin mission, military customs, traditions, protocol, and knowledge of available resources and services. A fun-filled Heart Link orientation will be held at Eglin's A&FRC (Bldg. 205 on Van Matre Avenue), and all spouses are invited to attend. FREE continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. • Dog Obedience Classes
January 22 - February 19: Tuesdays | 5-6 pm
Classes are specialized for pups over four months of age, or adult dogs who haven't had previous training. Your canine companion will learn basic obedience commands and good doggy manners, and individual behavioral problems such as excessive barking and jumping will be addressed. The first class meeting will be for owners only (no dogs should attend, please!). Cost for each five-week course is $75 and includes everything needed to participate. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you to team up and battle it out with an exciting game of Laser Tag! Experience complete gameplay at Postl Point, using the all-in-one Barracuda laser tag unit. Built-in options allow players to build their own games and customized player names, view game stats, enable teams and respawn, set time and ammo, and so much more. Cost is $15 per person. Eglin Outdoor Recreation offers an Adult Archery Clinic open to all base personnel. This 3-hour hands-on clinic will teach the basic skills and techniques of archery, including stance, draw and load, anchor, aim and expand, and release. Cost is $20 per person and includes use of Outdoor Rec's top-of-the-line archery equipment.Indoor class time and outdoor practice will all be held at the Postl Point. Call or visit to register. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you out for a Hot Chocolate Hiking Trip along a portion of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Participants meet at Eglin's Outdoor Recreation Center at Postl Point for an 8:30 a.m. departure. Cost is $10 per person and includes round trip transportation to the trail (about 45 minutes away), a hiking permit, and did we mention hot chocolate? Hikers are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and breathable clothing, and to bring bottled water, a sandwich and snacks, sunscreen, and insect repellent. Outdoor Recreation | 850-882-5058

Sign up now to participate in Eglin’s Intramural Soccer Season. Intramural Sports Seasons are open to all Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, DoD civilians, contractors, and dependents over the age of 18. Participants must be assigned to or affiliated with units on Eglin AFB. A Coaches Meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10 am at the Main Fitness Center. LOI's are due by Feb. 20, 2019. Take in a sunrise over the water this Valentine's Day with your significant other, a friend, or just on your own! Eglin Outdoor Recreation is hosting a Valentine Sunrise Paddle on Choctawhatchee Bay. Participants will meet at Postl Point to set out on their choice of a kayak or stand-up paddle board. Outdoor Rec will provide all equipment, and some refreshments will be offered. • Senior Golf Tournament
Saturday, February 16 | 8 am Shotgun Start | Eagle Course
The Eglin Golf Course invites all players ages 50 and up to compete in their annual Seniors Golf Tournament. Flights include Championship, age 50 and over; Senior, ages 50-65; Super Senior, ages 66 and over; and Ladies, all ages. Pairings will be made based on handicap within flights/division by Golf Course management and announced the day prior to tournament play. Players without a USGA handicap must play as a scratch golfers. Entry fee is $35 Gold, $50 Silver, $75 Non AGF and includes greens fee, cart fee, skins and prizes.
