“THE BIG GAME” at Legends Sunday, February 3 • 5 pm

Catch "The Big Game" on Super Sunday at Legends Sports Grill with doors opening at 5 p.m. All party-goers will be eligible to enter drawings for $2,500 in Super Sunday Prize Packages plus other giveaways. Valentine's Day Sunrise Paddle Thursday, February 14 | 6 am

Take in a sunrise over the water this Valentine's Day with your significant other, a friend, or just on your own!

Eglin Outdoor Recreation is hosting a Valentine Sunrise Paddle on Choctawhatchee Bay. Participants will meet at Postl Point to set out on their choice of a kayak or stand-up paddle board. Outdoor Rec will provide all equipment, and some refreshments will be offered. Cost is $15 per person and is open to anyone with base access.

"Dear Evan Hansen"

• Hot Chocolate Hiking Trip Saturday, February 2 | 8:30 am

Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you out for a Hot Chocolate Hiking Trip along a portion of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Participants meet at Eglin's Outdoor Recreation Center at Postl Point for an 8:30 a.m. departure. Cost is $10 per person and includes round trip transportation to the trail (about 45 minutes away), a hiking permit, and did we mention hot chocolate? Participation is open to all base personnel and their guests, ages 8 and up. Sign up at Outdoor Rec and please make staff aware of any allergies or other pertinent medical conditions when signing up.

• Home Run Derby

Wednesday, February 6 | 2 pm

The Eglin Fitness Center invites you to release your inner Babe Ruth and showcase your batting skills at the Home Run Derby! Competition is open to everyone with base access and will be held at Foster Stadium, located just inside Eglin's East Gate.

Sign up now to participate in Eglin’s Intramural Soccer Season. Intramural Sports Seasons are open to all Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, DoD civilians, contractors, and dependents over the age of 18. Participants must be assigned to or affiliated with units on Eglin AFB. To participate, contact your unit's sports representative or SSgt Howard.

The Broadway smash hit is going on tour! Join Eglin ITT for your chance to see the Tony Award-Winning Best Musical “Dear Evan Hansen” at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta. Price includes admission to the show, transportation, and lodging at Dobbins AFB. Private Room with 1 Queen Bed: $200 per person for single occupancy $165 per person for double occupancy Shared Suite with 2 Queen Beds: $198 per person for double occupancy $180 per person for triple occupancy $172 per person for quad occupancy Availability is limited, and spots must be reserved by Wednesday, March 27.

Players interested in participating in Eglin's Intramural Softball season should sign up at the Eglin Fitness Center. Contact the Fitness Center staff at 850-882-6028, or your unit's sports rep to get involved. All Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, DoD civilians, contractors and dependents over the age of 18 are welcome to participate in intramural sport seasons. Participants must be assigned to or affiliated with units on Eglin AFB. A coaches meeting will be held at the Main Fitness Center. All dates are tentative and subject to change.

• Mardi Gras at The Bayview Friday, February 15 | 3:30 - 6 pm

All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Mardi Gras celebration at The Bayview, featuring a FREE "N'awlins"-inspired buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Jambalaya, Red Beans and Sausage, Rice, Buttered Corn and more. Enjoy indoor games and activities, including a craft table for the kids. Members are also reminded to pick up their February Bayview Bucks.

• Full Moon Kayak

Monday, February 18 | 6 pm

Come paddle with Eglin Outdoor Recreation out from Postl Point to see the full moon rise over the bay. This two-hour guided excursion will take participants on a kayaking trip to a small secluded beach for an amazing view of the night sky, a small fire with s'mores, and a moonlit paddle back to Postl Point. Participation is open to all base personnel and registered guests, ages 16 and older, who have some prior kayaking experience. Cost is $20 per person and includes all necessary equipment and ingredients for s'mores. Single and double kayaks are available. Registration is required.
