Catch "The Big Game" on Super Sunday at Legends Sports Grill with doors opening at 5 p.m. All party-goers will be eligible to enter drawings for $2,500 in Super Sunday Prize Packages plus other giveaways. Valentine's Day Sunrise Paddle Thursday, February 14 | 6 am
Take in a sunrise over the water this Valentine's Day with your significant other, a friend, or just on your own! Eglin Outdoor Recreation is hosting a Valentine Sunrise Paddle on Choctawhatchee Bay. Participants will meet at Postl Point to set out on their choice of a kayak or stand-up paddle board. Outdoor Rec will provide all equipment, and some refreshments will be offered. • Hot Chocolate Hiking Trip Saturday, February 2 | 8:30 am
Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you out for a Hot Chocolate Hiking Trip along a portion of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Participants meet at Eglin's Outdoor Recreation Center at Postl Point for an 8:30 a.m. departure. Cost is $10 per person and includes round trip transportation to the trail (about 45 minutes away), a hiking permit, and did we mention hot chocolate? Participation is open to all base personnel and their guests, ages 8 and up. Sign up at Outdoor Rec and please make staff aware of any allergies or other pertinent medical conditions when signing up. All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Mardi Gras celebration at The Bayview, featuring a FREE "N'awlins"-inspired buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Jambalaya, Red Beans and Sausage, Rice, Buttered Corn and more. • Full Moon Kayak
Monday, February 18 | 6 pm
Come paddle with Eglin Outdoor Recreation out from Postl Point to see the full moon rise over the bay. This two-hour guided excursion will take participants on a kayaking trip to a small secluded beach for an amazing view of the night sky, a small fire with s'mores, and a moonlit paddle back to Postl Point. Participation is open to all base personnel and registered guests, ages 16 and older, who have some prior kayaking experience. Cost is $20 per person and includes all necessary equipment and ingredients for s'mores. Single and double kayaks are available. Registration is required.
