Mardi Gras at The Bayview Friday, February 15 | 3:30 - 6 pm

All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Mardi Gras celebration at The Bayview, featuring a FREE "N'awlins"-inspired buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Jambalaya, Red Beans and Sausage, Rice, Buttered Corn and more. Enjoy indoor games and activities, including a craft table for the kids.

Members are also reminded to pick up their February Bayview Bucks.

Senior Golf Tournament Saturday, February 16 8 am Shotgun Start | Eagle Course

The Eglin Golf Course invites all players ages 50 and up to compete in their annual Seniors Golf Tournament.

Flights include Championship, age 50 and over; Senior, ages 50-65; Super Senior, ages 66 and over; and Ladies, all ages. Pairings will be made based on handicap within flights/division by Golf Course management and announced the day prior to tournament play. Players without a USGA handicap must play as a scratch golfers.

Entry fee is $35 Gold, $50 Silver, $75 Non AGF and includes greens fee, cart fee, skins and prizes. All winners, gross and net, will be paid via credit book. Visit or contact the Pro Shop to sign up by Wed, February 13.

Saturday, February 9 7:30 am Showtime 8:15 am Players Meeting

All ages and skill levels are invited to compete in Eglin Outdoor Recreation's Singles Disc Golf Tournament, taking place on the disc golf course at Postl Point. Six available divisions include: Recreation, Advanced, Intermediate, Novice, Women, and Juniors (14 and under). Two rounds will be played with a break for lunch in between.

Super prizes will be awarded by Dynamic Discs to top finishers in each division. Registration is $30 per player and includes a Player Pack from Dynamic Discs (one for each player) that includes a Dry Fit T-Shirt, Silicone Pint Glass, and a $10 voucher for any Dynamic Disc gear on site. FREE lunch and beverages will be provided by ODR. Players must provide their own discs or purchase them at the event.

• Intramural Softball

Coaches Meeting: February 12 | 10 am (LOI's Due) by March 5 Season Starts: April 2

Players interested in participating in Eglin's Intramural Softball season should sign up at the Eglin Fitness Center. Contact the Fitness Center staff at 850-882-6028, or your unit's sports rep to get involved. All Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, DoD civilians, contractors and dependents over 18 are welcome to participate in intramural sport seasons. Participants must be assigned to or affiliated with units on Eglin AFB. A coaches meeting will be held at the Main Fitness Center.

• Valentine's Day Sunrise Paddle Thursday, February 14 | 6 am

Take in a sunrise over the water this Valentine's Day with your significant other, a friend, or just on your own! Eglin Outdoor Recreation is hosting a Valentine Sunrise Paddle on Choctawhatchee Bay. Participants will meet at Postl Point to set out on their choice of a kayak or stand-up paddle board. Outdoor Rec will provide all equipment, and some refreshments will be offered. Cost is $15 per person.

• Parents' Night Out

Eglin's Child Development Center offers a special time for parents to enjoy a "Parents' Night Out" one Saturday every month. This popular child care program provides a break for parents while children are safely supervised in a fun and exciting environment. Families with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years may sign up on a space-available basis for $25 per child. Activities for children will include games, movies and craft projects.
