Eglin's Strongest Competition
Celebration
Saturday, March 23 | 3 pm
Where do you stack among Eglin's strongest? Put your strength to the test at Eglin's Strongest Competition, hosted at the Lightning Fitness Center (33rd Fighter Wing). This competitive event features three lifts: Bench Press, Squat, and Deadlift. Participation is open to everyone with base access. All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a St. Patrick's Day celebration at The Bayview, featuring a FREE buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Irish-inspired favorites, including Chef Bill's Corned Beef and Cabbage. The bar will be open for beverage purchases — the specialty being green beer! Enjoy indoor games and activities, plus prize giveaways for Bayview members throughout the evening. Parking Lot Sale Saturday, April 27 | 8:30 am - 1 pm
Everyone with base access is invited to shop or sell at Eglin's basewide Parking Lot Sale, held on Georgia Avenue. Look for the event at the two large parking lots across the street from the Eglin Conference Center and Exchange Mini Mall. Sellers may park in either lot and use adjacent parking spaces to display their wares. Space for sellers is FREE! Advance reservations are not required. And if you're a shopper, you won't want to miss this event! There's always an enormous selection and assortment of treasures to be found at this popular event—furniture, electronics, children's items, toys, movies, books, clothing, collectibles, sporting goods, home accessories and much more! Sellers must be in place and ready to sell at 8:30 a.m. sharp, when the event will be officially opened to shoppers. This is a perfect opportunity to raise some extra cash for your family, group, or organization—or to get some thrifty gift shopping done! Restrooms will be available at the Mini Mall. • Expectant Dad's 101 Class
Norwegian Cruise Line: Spring Break 2019
Similar to dodgeball, Archery Tag is played with bows and patented foam-tipped arrows. This exciting, action-packed game is family-friendly and offers something for everyone. Two 5-player teams play opposite one another with a "safe zone" in between. To win, knock out the opposing team's members and disc targets while defending your team and set of targets. Eliminate a player by hitting him or her with an arrow, or by catching his or her arrow. Revive an eliminated teammate by hitting an opponent's target or catching an opponent's arrow. Soar with Eglin Outdoor Recreation over scenic landscapes on an ultimate Zipline Trip at Adventures Unlimited in Milton, FL. This thrilling outdoor experience features 15 high-flying zips through beautiful forests and over the Blackwater River. Cost for the excursion is only $25 per person and includes transportation, all adventures, and all equipment. Participants should bring water, insect repellent, sunscreen, lunch and snacks, plus a good pair of athletic or hiking shoes. (No open-toed shoes allowed.) Get out on the water with Eglin Outdoor Recreation for an introductory Kayak Clinic at Postl Point! Learn how to use a sit on top kayak with the fundamentals of boat control, proper paddling apparel, potential hazards, and simple rescues. Students will be able to practice maneuvering on flat-water using entry-level paddling skills. Cost is $20 per person and includes instruction and kayak rental. Participation is open to all base personnel and their guests, ages 8 and up. Class size is limited, so contact Outdoor Rec to sign up early. Classes may be rescheduled due to inclement weather. If your spouse is preparing to deploy or is already deployed, Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center invites you to attend one of their Deployment Support Briefings for spouses. Learn all about the A&FRC's Hearts Apart program, with information including Youth Comfort Kits, Child Care, and much more. Deployment orders are required to register. Sessions held the first Friday of the month at Duke Field (Bldg 3002, Room 112) are available by appointment only.

Eglin's annual "Easter Eggstravaganza!" will be held on the ball fields behind the Eglin Youth Center for all children ages 1-12.
