The Eglin Airman & Family Readiness Center and Youth Center are teaming up for Military Child Appreciation Day! Join them for a series of workshops, games, and refreshments. Event Schedule: 1:00: How to prepare for college costs 2:15: Parents and Teens Workshop - Whose problem is it? | Teens and Money Workshop 3:10: Kids and Money Workshop | Information Tables featuring Base Agencies 3:45 Indoor & Outdoor Activities with Parents (Including Dodgeball, Baseball, Big Foot, Blanket Volleyball, Potato Sack Races, and Tug-o-War!) 5:15: Closeout and refreshments This event is free and open to all DoD ID Card holders. Eglin's 96 FSS Food Services Team are the winners of the 2019 John L. Hennessy Award for the best food service operation in the Air Force! The Hennessy Trophy is an annual award presented to Air Force installations with the best Food Service Programs in the Air Force. Winners are selected based on their display and execution of excellence in Management Effectiveness, Force Readiness Support, Food Quality and Production, Employee and Customer Relations, Training, and Safety Awareness. This year marks the 63rd anniversary of the Hennessy Trophy competition. Congratulations to the entire team. Thank you for your hard work in delivering Grand Slam Support every day!

French Quarter Festival Trip Saturday, April 13
Join Eglin ITT on a day trip to New Orleans for the French Quarter Festival, the largest FREE music festival in the United States. Enjoy a day filled with Louisiana music, Cajun treats and spirits, art exhibits and special events in the historic French Quarter. Cost is $50 per person for transportation to and from the Festival. • April Membership Appreciation Friday, April 5 | 3:30 - 6 pm
All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Membership Appreciation Celebration at The Bayview, featuring a FREE buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu with Chef Bill's General Tso’s Chicken and sides. The bar will be open for beverage purchases. • Glow in the Dark Disc Golf Friday, April 19 | 7 pm
All disc golf enthusiasts are invited out to Postl Point for a round of Glow In The Dark Disc Golf. When the sun goes down, the fun begins! Outdoor Rec will provide players with special lights, and can provide discs as well if needed. At least 9 out of 18 baskets on the course will be illuminated with LED lighting.
