Friday, April 5 | 1 - 4:30 pm The Eglin Airman & Family Readiness Center and Youth Center are teaming up for a Military Child Appreciation Event! Join them for a series of workshops, games, and refreshments. Event Schedule: 1:00 - How to prepare for college costs 2:15 - Parents and Teens Workshop - Whose problem is it? | Teens and Money Workshop 3:10 - Kids and Money Workshop | Information Tables featuring Base Agencies 3:45 - Indoor & Outdoor Activities with Parents (Including Dodgeball, Baseball, Big Foot, Blanket Volleyball, Potato Sack Races, and Tug-o-war!) 4:30 - Closeout and refreshments This event is free and open to all DoD ID Card holders. Kids are welcome (and encouraged!), but non-Youth Center members must have a parent present. Registration is required, sign up at https://e.afit.edu/4ggFFdfrr. Join Eglin ITT for the 30th Annual Old Spanish Trail Rodeo in Baker, FL. Experience the thrills of bronc and bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, freestyle bullfighting, and much more! Gates open at 5 pm and shows begin at 7:30 pm both nights. Tickets cost $10 for adults and $7 for children ages 6-12. Round trip transportation costs an additional $5 per person. Call to register. All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Membership Appreciation Celebration at The Bayview, featuring a FREE buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu with Chef Bill's General Tso’s Chicken and sides. The bar will be open for beverage purchases. • Dog Obedience Classes
April 2 - April 30: Tuesdays | 5 - 6 pm April 17 - May 15: Wednesdays | 5 - 6 pm
Can't get Rover to roll over? Basic Dog Obedience is just what your pup needs! Classes are specialized for pups over four months of age, or adult dogs who haven't had previous training. Your canine companion will learn basic obedience commands and good doggy manners, and individual behavioral problems such as excessive barking and jumping will be addressed. Course sessions last five weeks, with classes held for a maximum of 8 dogs. The first class meeting will be for owners only (no dogs should attend, please!). Cost for each five-week course is $75 and includes everything needed to participate. Dogs must be current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough; all participants are asked to provide a shot record at the first meeting. Outdoor Rec | 850-882-5058

Eglin's Sand and Spur Riding Club invites you to their Annual Open House! Held at the Riding Club off Memorial Trail (just east of the BX/Commissary), the event is FREE and open to all military and DOD cardholders, their families and guests. The event will kick off with the National Anthem and Opening Ceremony at 10 a.m. Riding demonstrations will be presented, and FREE pony rides and tractor hayrides will be available from 10:15 am - 12:45 pm. Attendees are welcome to bring folding chairs, snacks, and beverages. Concessions will be available for purchase (cash only).

The Eglin Golf Course is holding a 5-Club Tournament, open to all authorized DoD personnel and their sponsored guests. Bring only your 5 best clubs and your putter! Shotgun start is at 8 am on the Eagle course. Play is flighted and based on the number of entries. Cost is $40 per person for non-AGF, $30 for Silver AGF, and $20 for Gold AGF, and includes fees.
