Eglin's Sand and Spur Riding Club invites you to their Annual Open House! Held at the Riding Club off Memorial Trail (just east of the BX/Commissary), the event is FREE and open to all military and DOD cardholders, their families and guests. The event will kick off with the National Anthem and Opening Ceremony at 10 a.m. Riding demonstrations will be presented, and FREE pony rides and tractor hayrides will be available from 10:15 am - 12:45 pm. Attendees are welcome to bring folding chairs, snacks, and beverages.

Concessions will be available for purchase (cash only).

National Library Week Open House

Get ready for National Library Week at the Eglin Digital Library! Each year, National Library Week celebrates our nation's libraries and librarians and promotes the use and support of libraries. Join them for an Open House on Thursday, April 11 featuring Escape Room Challenges, prize drawings, and light beverages. All ages are welcome, no sign-up is required. 5 - Club Golf Tournament

Saturday, April 27 | 8 am The Eglin Golf Course is holding a 5-Club Tournament, open to all authorized DoD personnel and their sponsored guests. Bring only your 5 best clubs and your putter! Shotgun start is at 8 am on the Eagle course.

Play is flighted and based on the number of entries. Cost is $40 per person for non-AGF, $30 for Silver AGF, and $20 for Gold AGF, and includes fees. Full handicap (GHIN only). Call or visit the Eglin Golf Course to register.

EFMP Spring Fling

It’s time for the Annual EFMP Spring Fling! EFMP families can look forward to fun group-oriented activities including a bouncy house, games, arts and crafts, and an Easter Egg Hunt. There will also be pizza and snow-cones to enjoy! It's an excellent opportunity to meet and network with other Eglin families. The event is free, but please register by Thursday, April 18 by emailing 96.FSS.efmp-fs@us.af.mil.

The Eglin A&FRC hosts monthly briefs to cover VA benefits and services. Classes will include education, home loan guaranty, health care, insurance, and memorial benefits — it's a great way to learn more about your options and get your questions answered.

The briefings are held once a month at the A&FRC from 1 - 2 pm and are open to Active Duty Military, retirees, and dependents.

• Parking Lot Sale

Saturday, April 27 | 8:30 am - 1 pm

Everyone with base access is invited to shop or sell at Eglin's basewide Parking Lot Sale, held on Georgia Avenue. Look for the event at the two large parking lots across the street from the Eglin Conference Center and Exchange Mini Mall. Sellers may park in either lot and use adjacent parking spaces to display their wares. Space for sellers is FREE! Advance reservations are not required. And if you're a shopper, you won't want to miss this event! There's always an enormous selection and assortment of treasures to be found at this popular event—furniture, electronics, children's items, toys, movies, books, clothing, collectibles, sporting goods, home accessories and much more! Sellers must be in place and ready to sell at 8:30 a.m. sharp, when the event will be officially opened to shoppers. This is a perfect opportunity to raise some extra cash for your family, group, or organization—or to get some thrifty gift shopping done! Restrooms will be available at the Mini Mall. Find your inner artist! Come and join us for a spring-themed session of Sip & Paint Night, hosted by Splash Paint Party Studio. Price is $15 for Eglin Bayview members/ $30 for non-members, and includes a personal cheese plate to snack on, a canvas, and all other painting supplies. Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center is holding a special Homefront Heroes Award Ceremony to honor the spouses and children of currently or recently deployed personnel. There will be a medal and certificate presented to family members to honor and highlight the sacrifices and contributions made while their Military Member was answering our nation's call. The ceremony will be held at the East Pavilion at Postl Point and is open to all Eglin AFB, Duke Field, and 7th SFG, and Tyndall families who experienced a deployment between May 1, 2018, and April 30, 2019.
