A Night of Comedy Sunday, May 5 | 7 pm | The Bayview
You're invited to "A Night of Comedy" presented by Air Force Entertainment. All military and civilian personnel with base access are welcome to attend. Enjoy a night of laughs at The Bayview featuring Ivan Pecel and Russ Merlin! Ivan Pecel is a comedian, juggler, and entertainer with over 15 years of experience. He previously competed on America's Got Talent. Russ Merlin is a Tonight Show alum with his own residency in Las Vegas, "V-The Ultimate Variety Show." He's performed in over 50 countries and is one of the world's most well-known entertainers. Admission is FREE, and all ages are welcome at the family-friendly show. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Beverages will be available for purchase. Brought to you by Air Force Entertainment (AFE,) a part of the Air Force Services Activity. 5 Club Golf Tournament
Saturday, April 27 | 8 am
The Eglin Golf Course is holding a 5-Club Tournament, open to all authorized DoD personnel and their sponsored guests. Bring only your 5 best clubs and your putter! Shotgun start is at 8 am on the Eagle course. Play is flighted and based on the number of entries. Cost is $40 per person for non-AGF, $30 for Silver AGF, and $20 for Gold AGF, and includes fees. Wednesday, May 1 | 9 am - 3 pm Eglin Fitness Center Join the Eglin Education Center for a College Fair, hosted by Team Eglin's 5/6 Club. Over 40 colleges and universities will be present at the Main Fitness Center. This event is open to all base personnel. EFMP Breakout Game Saturday, May 18 Eglin Digital Library Adult Session, 12 pm Family Session, 2:30 pm
EFMP Family Support is putting together a Breakout Game. Put your problem-solving skills to the test and see if you have what it takes to escape. There will be an adult session at 12, followed by a family session. It’s a great opportunity for team building, networking, and fun! This event is free, but registration is required. Everyone with base access is invited to shop or sell at Eglin's base-wide Parking Lot Sale, held on Georgia Avenue. Space for sellers is FREE! Sellers must be in place and ready to sell at 8:30 a.m. sharp, when the event will be officially opened to shoppers. Restrooms will be available at the Mini Mall. • Sunrise Paddle
Friday, May 3 | 6 am
Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation for a Sunrise Paddle excursion and enjoy the fresh morning air out on the water. It's a relaxing way to start your day, and you might even see dolphins! Trip departs from Postl Point. Cost is $20 per person and includes all equipment. Participants are encouraged to bring bottled water, a towel, a change of clothes, and water shoes or sandals. Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center is holding a special Homefront Heroes Award Ceremony to honor the spouses and children of currently or recently deployed personnel. The ceremony will be held at the East Pavilion at Postl Point and is open to all Eglin AFB, Duke Field, and 7th SFG, and Tyndall families who experienced a deployment between May 1, 2018, and April 30, 2019. Saturday, May 11 | Postl Point
Eglin is set to host Air Force Entertainment's Live Stage Rock Festival featuring Grammy-nominated band Sum 41 with special guest band We The Kings at Postl Point on Saturday, May 11. The day will kick off with an opening ceremony at 2 pm followed by a food truck rally and beverage sales, a car show featuring Emerald Coast Exotic Cars of Destin, and an appearance by popular local band Swingtown. The main stage opens at 7 pm. with performances by We The Kings followed by Sum 41. Admission to the event is FREE and open to all DoD ID card holders and their guests. Audience members are welcome to bring lawn chairs or blankets for concert seating. Video or audio recording is not permitted. Backpack and large handbags are discouraged, and such items may be subject to immediate search upon request. The event is brought to you by Air Force Entertainment (AFE), a part of the Air Force Services Activity. This new parent support program is where new and soon-to-be dads can learn how to be an integral part of the pregnancy, childbirth, coping with crying, how to bathe a baby, and other baby care processes.
