Art on the Spot!
Begins Monday, May 17 | 9 am - 4 pm Find your spot at the Eglin Library with its Art on the Spot program! Pick up a paper circle from the Library, design it and return it to the Library where it’ll be displayed as part of a collaborative artwork in the youth area. All ages are invited to participate in this program as an ongoing part of the Summer Reading Program. Contact or stop by the Library for more information! (850) 882-9308
Virtual Military Spouse Event
Friday, May 21 | 11 am - 1 pm In celebration of Military Appreciation Month, join the Eglin Airman & Family Readiness Center for its Virtual Military Spouse Event! Don your best Kentucky Derby hat and join the festivities on Friday, May 21 at 11 a.m. Registration is required, so register online here! Enjoy outdoor movies at Postl Point on Friday nights! Parking will accommodate up to 50 vehicles per show. Admission is FREE and open to all Eglin personnel and family members. Quarterback Challenge Friday, May 21 | 4 - 6 pm
Are you the star quarterback at Eglin? Take part in the Eglin Fitness Center's Quarterback Challenge. All with base access are invited to compete on Friday, May 21 at the Fitness Field House turf field. Participants will navigate obstacles and throw footballs at targets to earn points. Amphibian Race Friday, May 28 | 7:30 am
Whether you’re faster by land or by sea, compete in the Eglin Fitness Center’s Amphibian Race! All with base access are invited to compete on Friday, May 28 at Postl Point. Participants will start the race on paddle boards and finish with a one-mile run. Registration is open from Monday, May 3 to Monday, May 24, and there is no cost to participate. The top male and female finishers will win a gift basket, and medals will be awarded to the second-place and third-place male and female finishers. Summer Reading Program: “Reading Colors Your World!” June 1 - August 31 | Registration Opens Monday, May 24
The Eglin Library invites readers of all ages to participate in its annual Summer Reading Program! All ages are eligible to earn incentives for reaching reading goals. Register by stopping at the Library (Bldg 843, first floor) or going to www.eglinlibrary.com. In addition to participating in the program, Library patrons are encouraged to be creative, try new things, explore art and find beauty in diversity with fun take-home activities!
