Do you have what it takes to compete? Join the Fitness Center for the 2019 Alpha Warrior Competition! The top 3 competitors will advance to Regionals at Hurlburt Field. The competition is open to all DoD personnel and family members and will take place at Battle Rig behind the Field House. Please call the Main Fitness Center to register or for more information. The Alpha Warrior Tour is a service-wide program that utilizes specially designed, state-of-the-art obstacle apparatus called Battle Rigs and Battle Stations, providing airmen an opportunity to enhance functional fitness and to achieve a greater level of resiliency at home and while deployed. NEW! Tuesday Night Bingo at the Bayview

Beginning Tuesday, June 4 - Bar Bingo: 6 pm | Regular Play: 7 pm Calling all Bingo players! The Bayview will start hosting an additional night of Bingo on Tuesdays, beginning June 4th. (Wednesday night Bingo will continue as before.) Play is open to all ranks military and civilian, family members, and guests ages 18 and older. Don't miss your chance to win cash prizes! Select Wednesdays, 1-2 pm: May 28 | July 17 | August 14 Join the Eglin Airman & Family Readiness Center and learn more about how DoD and VA education benefits can help Service members and dependents pay for, or offset, the cost of tuition, housing, books, and supplies. This class will cover available benefits, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill. The briefings are held once a month at the A&FRC from 1-2 pm and are open to Active Duty Military, retirees, and dependents. EGLIN’S CLUB CORNER

• AF Youth Camps 2019 APPLY NOW!

It's time for teens interested in attending any of the Air Force's exciting Youth Camp opportunities to submit their applications. Eligible applicants include dependents of Active Duty Military (assigned to, working or living on an AF Led/Joint Installation), AF Retired Military, AF Civilian Employees, and Air National Guard or AF Reserve Personnel. Camps this year include: Teen Aviation Camp — Provides teens who have completed their freshman or sophomore year in high school the opportunity to explore careers in the Air Force and as aviators. Held at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. Download the Info Packet (PDF) for details and Application Form (PDF) to apply. Space Camp — Provides youth ages 12-18 the opportunity to explore careers in space exploration and as astronauts. A variety of camp "academies" are offered by age group, including basic, advanced, and robotics. Held at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, AL. Teen Leadership Summits — Provides teens ages 14-18 opportunities to focus on leadership development, self-confidence, an appreciation for, and a sense of belonging, to the AF community. Teens will participate in military traditions, community service projects, musical performances, and environmental education classes. Youth Sports Camps — In partnership with U.S. Sports Camps, residential sports camps in 2019 include Basketball, Soccer, Swimming, Baseball, Softball, Lacrosse, Football, and Volleyball. • Kids Color Run Friday, June 7 | 4 pm

Join the Eglin Youth Center for the 2019 America’s Kids Run! Each year, military dependants in the United States and across the world participate in America's Kids Run. This year’s event is a color run. All runners will receive an America’s Kids Run t-shirt for participating. The event is FREE and open to those with base access. Please register at www.americaskidsrun.org. Sponsors will be required to sign and submit a permission slip consenting to allow Youth Center Staff to execute any emergency actions (if needed) during the event. IMPORTANT MESSAGE for Eglin's Club Members: Club Members, We would like to take a moment to bring you up to date on Eglin AFB Club Membership. First, we would like to assure you that Club Membership is not going away, nor membership dues. The Eglin Club system will continue to host monthly membership nights, provide monthly member coupons and host a variety of entertaining events. Member services will be shifted from the Bayview to Legends Sports Grill, located in Bldg. 825 at 109 North McCarthy Avenue. We also are planning a variety of Friday Night entertainment to coincide with your weekly Friday Night Bar at Legends. The Bayview is being repurposed not closed. Starting May 26 we will stand up the Event Center at the Bayview. Many of the functions that were performed at the Bayview will continue to be held at the Event Center. Outside caterers are now being contracted to service these events. First Friday, Bingo, SNCO Induction Ceremony, promotions, etc. will still be performed at the event center and/or Legends. Best of all there will be no room fees for any events at the Event Center, and we are working on increasing Bingo to 3 nights per week. (2 – Bayview, 1 – Golf Course). Please help us get this message out, and thank you for your continued patronage and for being a Club Member!

Friday, June 21 | 6 pm | The Bayview Find your inner artist! Come and join us for a beach-themed session of Sip & Paint Night, hosted by Splash Paint Party Studio. Price is $15 for Eglin Bayview members/ $30 for non-members, and includes a personal cheese plate to snack on, a canvas, and all other painting supplies. Painters will also receive one drink of their choice — including a glass of wine, a pint of beer, or a non-alcoholic beverage. The bar will also be open for purchases. Must be 16 and up to participate. You must make a reservation, and seats are limited! EXPERIENCE OUTDOOR REC Bldg 732 | 850-882-5058

Night SUP Glow Tour + Fireworks Thursday, June 20 | 7 pm Calling all paddleboarders - you don't want to miss Night SUP Glow Tours, an after-hours paddle excursion on the Gulf of Mexico! Paddleboards are equipped with high powered waterproof LED lights for a dazzling watercraft adventure like no other. Participants will also get a fantastic view of the Destin Fireworks show! The trip is intended for experienced paddleboarders and is open to all base personnel and their registered guests. Cost is $20 per person and includes paddleboard and paddle, lights, personal flotation device, and whistle. Participants meet for departure at Postl Point and are encouraged to bring bottled water, swimsuit, towel, a headlamp or flashlight, and a change of clothes. Sign up with Outdoor Rec today.
