All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a First Friday social at The Bayview, featuring a FREE buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up. TDY AF Club members receive Bayview pricing.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Southern-style favorites, and enjoy prize giveaways for Bayview members. Members are also reminded to pick up their July Bayview Bucks. We'll see you at The Bayview where it pays to be a member!
Fight Night At Legends Saturday, July 7 Doors Open 6:30 pm
Catch all the action of UFC 226 at Eglin's Legends Sport Grill. Admission is FREE for Eglin Bayview members, and $5 for all others. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A special Fight Frenzy food menu will be available, featuring a "pay-as-you-go" bar with FREE popcorn and one FREE beverage (non-alcoholic) included. Fights start at 7 p.m., with TWO championship main events (Miocic vs. Cormier and Holloway vs. Ortega) scheduled for 9:00 p.m. Plus, there'll be a knockout $750 prize giveaway!

Alpha Warrior 2018 July 30 - 31
• RecOn: Indoor Bouldering Trip ( 9 Spots Left ) Saturday • June 30 | 10 am
Enjoy the outdoor sport of bouldering right here in Northwest Florida — and without the outdoors! Rock Out is a premier indoor rock climbing facility that provides adventurers a place to seek new challenges, socialize with other active people, and enjoy an amazing workout, all while having fun. This two-hour scheduled event starts with departure time from the Eglin Outdoor Rec Center at Postl Point. Cost to participate is $10, and round trip transportation is provided. Participants must be a minimum age of 13 years old, and are encouraged to wear athletic clothing. Outdoor Recreation | 850-882-5058
• RecOn: Cypress Springs Eco Tour ( 7 Spots Left ) Saturday • June 30 | Depart: 7:15 am
Experience the lush banks and deep sapphire waters by canoe or kayak. This 6-hour guided water excursion will take participants down Holmes Creek to Cypress Springs, where the day can be spent snorkeling, swimming, scuba diving... or enjoying the simple thrill of swinging off the rope. • Golf: July 4th Flag Tournament
Wednesday, July 4 | Tee Times Start: 7 am
Celebrate the 4th of July with a Flag Tournament at the Eglin Golf Course. Competitors play the Eagle Course and place their personalized flag at 72 strokes, plus their handicap. The farthest flag within each flight is the overall winner! Entry is $20 plus fees for AGF, or $25 plus fees for Non-AGF. Contact the Pro Shop to register. Eglin Golf Course | 850-882-2949
• Paddle Board Race & Demo Day
The Alpha Warrior Tour is a service-wide program that utilizes specially designed, state-of-the-art obstacle apparatus called Battle Rigs and Battle Stations, with an aim to provide airmen an opportunity to enhance functional fitness and to achieve a greater level of resiliency at home and while deployed. Event Schedule: Monday, July 30 • 4 pm Adult Battle Rig Familiarization Tuesday, July 31 • 12:30 pm Meet & Greet at Main Fitness Center 1:30 pm - Youth Battle Rig Familiarization (Ages 6-12) 4:30 pm - Adult Battle Rig Timed Competition (Ages 13 and up) 6 pm - Award presentation Challenges are open for all DoD personnel and family members, and will take place at the tennis courts located in front of the Eglin Fitness Center. Registration is open through July 25 at the Eglin Fitness Center (Bldg 810) for Adults, and at the Eglin Youth Center (Bldg 2582) for Youth ages 6 to 12. Eglin Fitness | 850-882-6223

Everyone is invited to a fun day in the sun at Eglin Outdoor Recreation's 2nd Annual Paddle Board Race at Postl Point Beach. This competitive event will feature five races — a short race and a long race in both a women's division and a men's division, plus a kid's race for ages 10 and younger. A total of $300 in prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each race. Spectators are welcome! Outdoor Recreation will offer a FREE demo day for anyone who'd like to try out a paddle board with no cost for rental. Bring your own sunscreen, hat, chairs, towel, and bottled water. Race participation is $15 per person. Only Outdoor Recreation's paddle boards can be used during the race. Outdoor Recreation | 850-882-5058

• Summer Reading Postcard Contest
This competition invites young minds to express their creative visions. Stop by the Eglin Digital Library during June and July to enter your design, which can be anything from a place you’ve lived or visited, to your own imaginary world! The library will have supplies available for use such as crayons, paint, and pencils to use for your postcard. Once you’ve designed your entry, write your contact information on the back (name, email address or phone number, and age) and drop it in the competition box. Last day to enter is Tuesday, July 31. Winner announced August.

Bring your best game to this one-day tennis tournament on Tuesday, July 12, beginning at 2 p.m. at Eglin’s tennis courts. Best of 8 games and single elimination rules apply. Registration by July 10 at the Main Fitness Center.
