Thursday, July 4 | Tee Times Start: 7 am Celebrate the 4th of July with a Flag Tournament at the Eglin Golf Course. Competitors play the Eagle Course and place their flag at 72 strokes, plus their GHIN handicap. The farthest flag wins! Fees include tournament, cart fees, and green fees. Dash & Splash at Postl Point
Friday, July 12 | Check-in: 6:30 am
Eglin Outdoor Recreation and Fitness Center are excited to present the first ever Dash & Splash Race at Postl Point! Start with a 2-mile run on foot, then cool off with a 200-meter swim in the bay, starting and finishing at the Outdoor Rec Center. Men's and Women's divisions will race together, and trophies will be awarded to first place winners. There will also be prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in both divisions. Snacks and beverages will be provided, and water stations will be available along the route. Participants should bring dry fit clothing, good running shoes that can get wet, water, a change of clothes, towel, hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. (Note: Before the race start, participants will have the option to leave personal items in a bin to collect at the end of their race.) Paddle Board Race Saturday, July 6 | 10 am
Everyone is invited to a fun day in the sun at Eglin Outdoor Recreation's 3rd annual Paddle Board Race at Postl Point Beach. Men's and Women's divisions will compete in a 1-mile heat, while children ages 10 and under can participate in the 50-yard Kid's Race. Prizes will be awarded to first, second, and third place finishers. Spectators are welcome! Bring sunscreen, a hat, chairs, towel, and water. Race participants may bring your own equipment, or are welcome to use Outdoor Rec's. Entry fee is $15. Register in advance at Outdoor Rec, or sign up on race day.
