Tim Meadows LIVE Comedy Show
Sunday • July 15 | 7 pm | The Bayview Enjoy a night of laughs at The Bayview as comedian and "Saturday Night Live" alum Tim Meadows brings his freshest stand-up to Eglin Air Force Base. Meadows began performing improvisational comedy at the Soup Kitchen Saloon in Detroit. He soon transitioned into show business as a member of The Second City comedy troupe alongside future SNL co-star Chris Farley, before landing a coveted role on the long-running late-night variety show in 1991. Meadows has also appeared in several critically acclaimed feature films, including "Mean Girls" and "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story," and has most recently been seen on ABC's hit family sitcom "The Goldbergs." Admission is FREE for adults, ages 18 and up. Due to adult situational material, no one under 18 will be admitted. Reservations are not available. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Beverages will be available for purchase. Brought to you by Air Force Entertainment (AFE,) a part of the Air Force Services Activity. Eglin Outdoor Recreation, partnering with ARAD Sea-Doo Rentals, is offering an opportunity for eligible individuals (plus one guest each) to enjoy a specially discounted rate for one hour of personal watercraft rental at Post’l Point. For only $10, enjoy Rocky Bayou and Boggy Bayou (entry into the bay is not permitted) aboard your own personal Sea-Doo! The Alpha Warrior Tour is a service-wide program that utilizes specially designed, state-of-the-art obstacle apparatus called Battle Rigs and Battle Stations, with an aim to provide airmen an opportunity to enhance functional fitness and to achieve a greater level of resiliency at home and while deployed. Event Schedule: Monday, July 30 • 4 pm Adult Battle Rig Familiarization Tuesday, July 31 • 12:30 pm Meet & Greet at Main Fitness Center 1:30 pm - Youth Battle Rig Familiarization (Ages 6-12) 4:30 pm - Adult Battle Rig Timed Competition (Ages 13 and up) 6 pm - Award presentation Challenges are open for all DoD personnel and family members, and will take place at the tennis courts located in front of the Eglin Fitness Center. Registration is open through July 25 at the Eglin Fitness Center (Bldg 810) for Adults, and at the Eglin Youth Center (Bldg 2582) for Youth ages 6 to 12. Key Spouses are appointed by their Group or Squadron Commander, work closely with their First Sergeant, and are a focal point for information and support for families in their unit. They serve as an important resource to military families because they are peers who "know what it's like."
