Mid-Summer 106 Classic Saturday, July 17 | 8 am Shotgun Start
Take part in the Eglin Golf Course's 2021 Mid-Summer 106 Classic! The tournament is in four-person best-ball format with the best 1 on par-5s, best 2 on par-4s and best 3 on par-3s. The cost is $30 for Gold AGF, $40 for Silver AGF and $50 for non-AGF; cost includes green fees, cart fees, range balls, lunch and prizes. Contact the Pro Shop to register. (850) 882-2949
Blood Drive at the Golf Course Thursday, July 22 | 10 am - 3 pm
Join the Eglin Golf Course and OneBlood for a blood drive! The Big Red Bus will be at the Eglin Golf Course on Thursday, July 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All donors will receive a OneBlood beach towel and a $20 e-gift card. Each donor will also receive a full wellness checkup including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse and cholesterol screening. Contact the Pro Shop for more information. (850) 882-2949
Paddle Board Race Saturday, July 24 | 10 am
Test your paddling skills with Eglin Outdoor Recreation's 4th annual Paddle Board Race! There will be men's and women's divisions with short and long races, and kids ages 10+ can even get in on the fun with a kid's race. Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers! Participants can use paddle boards from ODR or their own, and all are encouraged to bring beach-day essentials like sunscreen, water, hats, chairs and towels. The cost is $15 per person and includes everything you will need. Call or visit Outdoor Rec to sign up. NEW! FII Level 1 Freediver Course July 17-18 | Contact ODR to Register!
Take advantage of new freediving classes at Eglin Outdoor Recreation! Freediving is a form of underwater diving that relies on breath-holding. ODR's freediving instructor is certified through Freediving Instructors International (FII) and will implement the fundamentals of the FII education system in an easy-to-learn format. The two-day course costs $395 and is split between the Eglin Pool (first day) and Vortex Springs (second day). With a high emphasis on freedive safety training and technique development, students will master the proper skills to effectively freedive up to depths of 66 feet/20 meters. (850) 882-5058
Movie Nights at Postl Point Fridays | 7 pm
Enjoy outdoor movies at Postl Point on Friday nights! Parking will accommodate up to 50 vehicles per show. Admission is FREE and open to all Eglin personnel and family members.
