The Eglin Golf Course invites all eligible golfers to the Eglin Open Championship, a full weekend of great competitive golf! Participation is open to all authorized DoD personnel and their sponsored guests. A Welcome Party will be held Friday evening, and Championship Play will take place Saturday on the Falcon Course and Sunday on the Eagle Course. Format is stroke play — two days, 36 holes, gross and net. Gross flight winners will receive a trophy and Pro Shop credit. Number of places will be determined by number of players in each flight. Flights include Championship (all ages), Senior (55-64), Super Senior (65+), and Ladies (all ages). Entry fees are as follows: $55 - Gold AGF Members $75 - Silver AGF Members $95 - DoD/Civ/Retired/Veteran non-members $105 - non-DoD (Sponsored) Guests
Cost includes cart fees, green fees, range balls, tee gift, and admission to the Welcome Party on Friday evening. Additional guests may attend the Welcome Party for $15 admission, paid at time of registration. Festivities will include a tournament briefing, door prizes, contests, and pairings release. An awards ceremony will be held at the tournament's conclusion on Sunday. Player registration must be completed with payment by 12 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 14 — at which time all entries become non-refundable. The Breeze Takeout Goes Green Test Period: August 5 - 30 Starts: September 3
The Breeze dining facility will soon go green with the OZZI machine, a reusable food container system for replacing the disposables to-go containers currently use. The OZZI system and 02GO reusable food containers are a cost-effective alternative to single use, to-go containers. Users are issued two coins. Each time a takeout container is requested, one coin is required. When the container is returned to the OZZI kiosk for cleaning and reuse, one coin is returned to the user. The system will be made available for permanent party Essential Station Messing (ESM), i.e. meal card Airmen, starting Sep. 3, upon completion of a testing period which will run Aug. 5-30.
