Catch all the action of UFC 228 at Eglin's Legends Sport Grill. Admission is FREE for Eglin Bayview members, and $5 for all others. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A special Fight Frenzy food menu will be available, featuring a "pay-as-you-go" bar with FREE popcorn and one FREE beverage (non-alcoholic) included. All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a First Friday social at The Bayview, featuring a FREE Fish Fry buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up. TDY AF Club members receive Bayview pricing.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Southern-style favorites, and enjoy prize giveaways for Bayview members. Members are also reminded to pick up their September Bayview Bucks. 9/11 Memorial 5K Ruck or Run honors the men and women who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. Start/Finish line will be at the CE Pavilion on Cypress Road. The event is FREE and open to all active duty, guard, and reserve personnel, as well as DoD civilians, contractors, and dependents. Registration is not required. Heart Link—a top-notch program designed to provide spouses with a better understanding of the military way of life, with concentration on the Eglin mission, military customs, traditions, protocol, and knowledge of available resources and services. Enjoy a spectacular bird's-eye view of the beautiful Emerald Coast on a scenic flight with the Eglin Aero Club! To celebrate Labor Day, the Aero Club is holding an Open House and offering specially priced flights for only $35 per person. Flight times between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. must be booked in advance by calling 850-882-5148. Eglin's Airman & Family Readiness Center invites expectant parents from all branches of service to a fun-filled "Bundles for Babies" workshop, where soon-to-be moms and dads can receive valuable guidance on budgeting for the baby(s), and information on helpful programs available to expectant families. Every Wednesday! There will be computers reserved at the Library on Wednesdays for practice testing with EBSCO’s LearningExpress DoD Test Prep. This eResource provides access to: military test prep (ASTB-E, ASVAB, Military Flight Aptitude Test, Officer Candidate Tests, etc.); CLEP, DSST, TOEFL iBT, IELTS, SAT prep; resources for military transition to civilian careers; career certification exam prep for a wide range of occupations and much, much, more. FREE Circuit Training
Beginning Sept. 25, the Eglin Fitness Center is hosting free circuit training every Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Pavilion behind the Field House. Workouts will last under one hour and are free to ID card holders ages 18 and up. Attendees must sign a health questionnaire prior to participating in class. 850-882-6223

• Legends Tailgate Party: Kick-off for NFL Sunday Ticket Sunday, September 9 | 11 am
NFL Sunday Ticket Football will kick off the season with a Tailgate Party at Legends starting at 11 a.m. There will be plenty of food and football fun with sports-related games to enjoy and prizes to be won throughout the afternoon. • Double Disc Golf Tournament Saturday, September 15 | 7:30 am
All ages and skill levels are invited to compete in Eglin Outdoor Recreation's Doubles Disc Golf Tournament, taking place on the disc golf course at Postl Point. Players will compete as two-person teams in a "Best Shot" format. Two rounds will be played with a break for lunch in between. Six available divisions include: Recreation, Advanced, Intermediate, Novice, Women, and Juniors (14 and under). Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each division. Registration is $60 per team and includes a Player Pack from Dynamic Discs (one for each player), plus lunch and beverages. Register no later than Friday, September 14. Hosted by: Dynamic Discs

Eglin's Child Development Center is now offering "Parents Night Out" on Saturday, September 15 as a convenience to those attending the Air Force Ball who need childcare. This popular child care program provides a break for parents while children are safely supervised in a fun and exciting environment. Families with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years may sign up on a space-available basis for $25 per child. Activities for children will include games, movies and craft projects.
