All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a First Friday social at The Bayview, featuring a backyard barbecue with ROWDYDOW bbQ, FREE for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up. TDY AF Club members receive Bayview pricing.) A cash bar will be open, plus enjoy prize drawings throughout the evening for Bayview members. Fight Night at Legends

Saturday • November 3 | Doors Open 6:30 pm

Catch all the action of UFC 230 at Eglin's Legends Sport Grill. Admission is FREE for Eglin Bayview members, and $5 for all others. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. A special Fight Frenzy food menu will be available, featuring a "pay-as-you-go" bar with FREE popcorn and one FREE beverage (non-alcoholic) included. Fights start at 7 p.m., with the main event (Poirier vs. Diaz) scheduled for 9:00 p.m.

November 9 2 pm | Postl Point

Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center's Gobble Wobble, featuring a 5K fun run and a 10K competitive race. Start/Finish line is at Postl Point, near the Eglin Outdoor Recreation Center. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers of the 10K. Participation is FREE for all base personnel. Be one of the first 30 participants to register in person at the Eglin Fitness Center by Friday, November 2, and receive a FREE t-shirt on race day!

The Airman & Family Readiness Center would like to introduce all of Eglin's military spouses to Heart Link—a top-notch program designed to provide spouses with a better understanding of the military way of life, with concentration on the Eglin mission, military customs, traditions, protocol, and knowledge of available resources and services. A fun-filled Heart Link orientation will be held at Eglin's A&FRC (Bldg.

205 on Van Matre Avenue), and all spouses are invited to attend. FREE continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please call for more information or to register.

• Teens vs. Parents Basketball Game Friday • November 2 | 5 - 6:30 pm

Take the ultimate battle of teenagers versus parents to the court — the basketball court, that is! The Eglin Youth Center will host a Teens vs. Parents Basketball Game in the center's gymnasium. The event is FREE to participants and spectators. There will be a prize for the winning team! Players must sign-up by Monday, October 29.

• Glow in the Dark Disc Golf Saturday • November 3 | 7 pm

Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites all disc golf enthusiasts out to Postl Point for a round of Glow In The Dark Disc Golf. When the sun goes down, the fun begins! Outdoor Rec will provide players with special lights for their discs, and can provide discs as well, if needed. At least 9 out of 18 baskets on the course will be illuminated with LED lighting. Cost to play is $5 per person. Prior disc golf experience is recommended, but all skill levels may join. Participants are encouraged to bring bottled water, insect repellent, a headlamp or flashlight, and to wear comfortable athletic or hiking shoes.

• Snorkeling at the Navarre Reef Saturday • November 3 | 9 am

Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation for a 2-3 hour snorkeling excursion at the Navarre Beach Marine Sanctuary, where all kinds of ocean life can be found... maybe even sea turtles! Cost is $15 per person and includes snorkels, masks, fins, and transportation.

Participants should meet at the Outdoor Recreation Center at Postl Point for departure to Navarre, and are encouraged to bring bottled water, sunscreen, a towel and change of clothes, plus snacks or a lunch.

• Magnetic Science at the Eglin Library Saturday • November 3 | 1 - 3 pm

Ever wondered what makes opposites attract? Does the thought of your breakfast cereal being fortified with iron make you feel a little heavy? Join us as the HSU Educational Foundation visits the Eglin Digital Library for a fun-filled science event that explores magnetism and the science behind it. The Game Changers Squad empowers students through experimentation and hands-on interactive learning. This family program inspires excitement while encouraging critical thinking and problem solving. Admission is FREE and open to all students and families with base access.

• Foo Foo Fest in Pensacola

QuickBooks Training

Monday-Friday, November 5 - 9 9 am - 2:30 pm The Eglin Airman & Family Readiness Center is offering QuickBooks Training to Eglin's Active Duty Air Force spouses, provided FREE through a grant from the Air Force Aid Society. The 5-day training includes the QuickBooks Software and book for each participant, a practice test, two opportunities to test for "QuickBooks National Certification," and personalized employment assistance. Basic computer skills are needed and office experience is preferred. For more information or to register, contact Diana Lawrence.

FallFest Volunteers Needed

Friday, October 26 Eglin Outdoor Recreation is looking for several dozen decorated vehicles to populate Trunk or Treat Lane at this year's FallFest! If you would like to volunteer to showcase your "spooky-fied" vehicle and pass out treats to children, we would like to hear from you. Individual and Squadron "Best Trunk" winners will be awarded prizes!
