The Bayview is inviting all bosses to bring their buddies to Boss & Buddy Night for an evening of wings and comradery with their fellow airmen. It's a great Air Force Club tradition and a time to relax, enjoy good company and play a game of pool, crud, spades, or dominoes. Greeting Card Competition
All children school age and above are invited to the Eglin Digital Library for some fun and interactive learning with STEM Stations! Get hands-on with practical concepts of science, technology, engineering, and math, through play with KEVA® planks, K'NEX® sets, LEGO® bricks, and more. Activities are designed for ages 5 and up. The festive tradition continues! All base organizations are invited to show their holiday spirit and enter Eglin's 34th Annual Greeting Card Competition. Create a giant holiday card wishing season's greetings from your organization to the Eglin community. Cards will be set up and displayed throughout November and December along both sides of the west section of Eglin Blvd, from the intersection at Nomad Way to the All Wars Memorial. A panel of judges will evaluate the displays based on theme, originality, and workmanship, and select 1st through 3rd place and honorable mention winners to be awarded cash prizes totaling over $1,200. Cards must be officially registered for the contest at Eglin Outdoor Recreation and set up on site by Friday, Nov. 30 (open hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m.). Winners will be announced and awards presented at the annual WinterFest at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Bayview Club. • Gobble Wobble 5K/10K
Friday • November 9 | 7 am | Postl Point
Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center's Gobble Wobble, featuring a 5K fun run and a 10K competitive race. Start/Finish line is at Postl Point, near the Eglin Outdoor Recreation Center. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers of the 10K. Participation is FREE for all base personnel. Coaches Meeting: Tuesday, Nov 13 Players Sign Up (LOI's Due) by Dec 4 Season Starts: Tuesday, January 8
Players interested in participating in Eglin's Intramural Basketball season should sign up at the Eglin Fitness Center. Contact the Fitness Center staff at 850-882-6028, or your unit's sports rep to get involved. All Active Duty, Guard, Reserve, DoD civilians, contractors and dependents over the age of 18 are welcome to participate in intramural sports seasons. Participants must be assigned to or affiliated with units on Eglin AFB. A coaches meeting will be held at the main Fitness Center. All dates are tentative and subject to change. • Kids Fishing Clinic

Eglin Outdoor Rec is introducing youngsters to the fun of fishing with a Kids Fishing Clinic at Postl Point. A professional instructor will teach basic fishing techniques on a kid-friendly level, with demonstrations of baiting, casting, reeling, and fish identification, all in a real fishing environment. A free shoreline fishing license is required to participate. Cost is $25 and includes all equipment and bait required for class use. Please call Outdoor Rec to reserve a class date. • Turkey Shoot Archery Competition Sunday • November 18 | 1 pm
Eglin Outdoor Recreation is holding a Turkey Shoot Archery Competition. A frozen turkey will be awarded to first place winners in three divisions — Men's, Women's, and Children (under age 12). Entry fee is $15 per person. Competitors are encouraged to bring and use their own bows and arrows, but Outdoor Rec's archery equipment will be available for use if needed, at no extra cost. • Full Moon Kayak
Friday • November 23 | 7 pm
Come paddle with Eglin Outdoor Recreation, out from Postl Point to see the full moon rise over the bay. This two-hour guided excursion will take participants on a kayaking trip to a small secluded beach for an amazing view of the night sky, a small fire with s'mores, and a moonlit paddle back to Postl Point. Participation is open to all base personnel and registered guests, ages 16 and older, who have some prior kayaking experience. Cost is $20 per person and includes all necessary equipment and ingredients for s'mores. Pre-registration is required. Outdoor Rec | 850-882-5058

• Backpacking Overnight
Depart: Saturday • November 24 | 10 am Return: Sunday • November 25 | 2 pm
Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites adventurers on a Backpacking Overnight trip, right here on the Eglin Reservation. Participants will trek 3.5 miles of the Florida Trail to the Alaqua Campsite on Saturday, enjoy a night of camping, then hit the trail again the next morning. Cost is $45 per person and includes transportation. Departure from the Postl Point Outdoor Recreation Center will take participants to the Alaqua trailhead, about a 30-minute drive. Pre-registration is required. Participation is open to anyone with base access, ages 18 and over. Contact Outdoor Rec to sign up.
