Each year leaders from all across Team Eglin join the Food Service Team in serving the annual Thanksgiving Day Meal to both Active Duty and retired Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers , Marines and their families as a way of saying "Thank You for Your Service to Our Nation." So, on behalf of Brig. Gen. Evan Dertien, the 96th Test Wing Commander and Maj. Jeremy Boeing, the 96th Force Support Squadron Commander, we cordially invite all of Team Eglin to come out and enjoy the annual Thanksgiving Day Meal at the Breeze Dining Facility. The meal will be served Thanksgiving Day from 11 am - 1 pm dinner and will run 5 - 6 pm. Also please note, breakfast will be a continental style meal served from 6:30 - 9 am. Chef Ernie's Holiday Catering Menus & Turkey & Sides To Go
Chef Ernie's catered dining is sure to make your holiday season a delicious one. Catered selections include buffet and plated dining as well as a complete Fried Turkey with Sides To Go Family Meal. Orders must be placed 48 hours prior to pick up time. For pick up orders, Chef Ernie's will be open until noon on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and everyday in between. The Bayview is inviting all bosses to bring their buddies to Boss & Buddy Night for an evening of wings and camaraderie with their fellow airmen. It's a great Air Force Club tradition and a time to relax, enjoy good company, and play a game of pool, crud, spades, or dominoes. All children school age and above are invited to the Eglin Digital Library for some fun and interactive learning with STEM Stations! Get hands-on with practical concepts of science, technology, engineering, and math, through play with KEVA® planks, K'NEX® sets, LEGO® bricks, and more. Activities are designed for ages 5 and up. • Archery Tag

Eglin Outdoor Recreation presents Archery Tag! Similar to dodgeball, Archery Tag is played with bows and patented foam-tipped arrows. This exciting, action-packed game offers the ultimate family-friendly experience that engages everyone. Two 5-player teams play opposite one another with a "safe zone" in between. Each team's objectives are to hit the opposing team members, to knock out the opposing team's five disc targets, and to defend their own targets and players. Eliminate a player by hitting him or her with an arrow, or by catching his or her arrow. Revive an eliminated teammate by hitting an opponent's target or catching an opponent's arrow. Archery Tag exists to introduce individuals to the sport of archery through a safe, fun, and unique archery experience. Cost is $10 per person and includes all equipment needed to participate. Eglin Outdoor Recreation will present its 9th annual Polar Bear Plunge at Postl Point Beach, immediately following the Eglin Fitness Center's 5K Resolution Run. Bring a towel and a warm change of clothes. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you on a special outing that's sure to put you in the holiday spirit. Jingle all the way out to the Eglin Reservation to select and cut down your very own sand pine Christmas tree! Outdoor Rec will then transport your tree for you, bringing it from the Reservation back to the Outdoor Recreation Center at Postl Point. Cost is $15 per person and includes transportation from Postl Point to the Eglin Reservation (about a 40-minute drive). Enjoy a holiday of thrilling roller coasters and family-friendly rides in a place known for wild adventures! Join Eglin ITT on a day trip to Valdosta, Georgia, to Wild Adventures Theme Park. The park will be decked out in its holiday best and will feature special seasonal activities, including visits with Safari Santa and Mrs. Claus, live Christmas shows, rides on the Candy Cane Express, s'mores by the fire, and more. All military or DoD Civilian ID cardholders are invited to play in Eglin’s Club Championship. To be the Club Champion, golfers must compete in the Black Tee Division - open to all ages and HDCPs. Other Divisions include the Gold Tee - Open Division (54 and under), Gold Tee - Senior Division (55-64), Silver Tee - Super Senior Division (65+) and the Green Tee - Ladies Division. Divisions should have a minimum of 12 players to qualify for the full $500 AGF Credit. Winners will be chosen by gross score. Division Winners, except the Gold Tee Open Division, will be awarded a $500 voucher towards a new or renewed AGF Membership, a trophy, a designated parking spot (valid for 1 year), and their name on the Champion’s Board. Players must have a valid USGA GHIN handicap or will play as a scratch golfer. No requested pairings please; pairings will be based on flight and HDCP.
