December 8 - 9 Tee Times Start 7 am

All military or DoD Civilian ID cardholders are

invited to play in Eglin’s Club Championship.

To be the Club Champion, golfers must compete in the Black Tee Division - open to all ages and HDCPs. Other Divisions include the Gold Tee - Open Division (54 and under), Gold Tee - Senior Division (55-64), Silver Tee - Super Senior Division (65+) and the Green Tee Ladies Division. Divisions should have a minimum of 12 players to qualify for the full $500 AGF Credit. Winners will be chosen by gross score. Division Winners, except the Gold Tee Open Division, will be awarded a $500 voucher towards a new or renewed AGF Membership, a trophy, a designated parking spot (valid for 1 year), and their name on the Champion’s Board. Players must have a valid USGA GHIN handicap or will play as a scratch golfer.

WinterFest! FREE Holiday Fun Tuesday • December 18 | 5 - 7 pm | The Bayview

All Team Eglin personnel and families are invited to The Bayview for WinterFest!

— an evening of FREE indoor holiday festivities and activities for the kids, outdoor rides, and $4,000 in prize drawings. The holiday fun will also feature a free hors d'oeuvre buffet and visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Winners of Eglin's 2018 Organizational Greeting Card Contest will be announced and cash awards will be presented at 5:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Air Force Pump Track Tour Sunday • December 16 1 - 4 pm

Bicycle, skateboard and scooter riders are invited to check out the Pump Track Tour coming to Eglin's Outdoor Rec's parking lot. Some bicycles, skateboards and scooter will be available for use. Riders are welcome to bring their own and don't forget your helmet. The event is free and the track will be open to all ages with riding skill. • Wild Adventures Christmas Trip Saturday • December 8

Enjoy a holiday of thrilling roller coasters and family-friendly rides in a place known for wild adventures! Join Eglin ITT for a day trip to Valdosta, Georgia, to Wild Adventures Theme Park. The park will be decked out in its holiday best and will feature special seasonal activities, including visits with Safari Santa and Mrs. Claus, live Christmas shows, rides on the Candy Cane Express, s'mores by the fire, and more. Cost is $25 per person for transportation, and $32 for park admission. (No admission fee for those who already have season passes.) Contact or visit the Eglin ITT office to sign up.

• Glow in the Dark Disc Golf Saturday • December 8 | 7 pm

Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites all disc golf enthusiasts out to Postl Point for a round of Glow In The Dark Disc Golf. When the sun goes down, the fun begins! Outdoor Rec will provide players with special lights for their discs, and can provide discs as well, if needed. At least 9 out of 18 baskets on the course will be illuminated with LED lighting.

Cost to play is $5 per person. Prior disc golf experience is recommended, but all skill levels may join. Participants are encouraged to bring bottled water, insect repellent, a headlamp or flashlight, and to wear comfortable athletic or hiking shoes.

• Customer Appreciation Day

Thursday • December 13 | 10 am - 1 pm

The Eglin Digital Library would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to all its valued patrons with a Customer Appreciation Day, taking place in Bldg 825 (in front of the main Fitness Center). Everyone is invited to stop in and enjoy FREE refreshments.

• "Jingle Bell" Fun Run December 14 | 7 am Start

The Eglin Fitness Center invites all base personnel to Eglin's first 5K "Jingle Bell" Fun Run. The run's show time is 6:30 a.m. at the CE Pavilion on Cypress Road, with a start time at 7 a.m. Participants are welcome to wear holiday attire. Event is FREE and open to everyone authorized base access. First 30 to sign up at the Main Fitness Center receive a free t-shirt. Top male and female runners will receive a prize.

Baby Signs Workshop Tuesday • January 15 | 10 am

Join us for a Baby Signs Workshop to learn the benefits of introducing and using sign language to communicate with your baby. You'll learn basic signs to use plus strategies and techniques. The workshop is presented by the Panhandle Parent to Parent Educators as a part of the Eglin Library's Toddler Time program. The workshop is open to parents and kids. No registration is required.

The festive day will feature leisure time in the city, plus a golden ticket to board "The Polar Express"—an interactive reenactment of Chris Van Allsburg's classic Christmas tale. • Eglin's Biggest Loser! 6-Week Weight Loss Challenge Registration: December 18 - January 4

Let 2019 be your year to shine! Challenge yourself and let the Eglin Fitness Center provide support and incentives to fuel your transformation with the "Eglin's Biggest Loser!" 6-Week Weight Loss Challenge. Registration takes place at the Main Fitness Center with the challenge officially starting on Jan. 7; just visit the front desk to get started. Winners will be announced at the end of the challenge. All participants will be awarded an event t-shirt upon completion of the challenge. Participation is FREE and open to all base personnel ages 18 and up. It's a great way to meet new workout buddies.

• Mountain Bike Trip

Saturday • December 22 | 8 am

Northwest Florida may not have mountains — but it does have a plentiful array of nature trails and wooded paths. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you to explore with them on a Mountain Biking Trip for riders of all skill levels, ages 16 and up. Cost is $20 per person and includes transportation to the trail head, plus bicycle and helmet rental. Riders should meet at Postl Point for an 8 a.m. departure time, and are encouraged to bring bottled water, sunglasses, bandanas or sweat bands, an extra shirt, snacks and a bag lunch, or cash for a lunch stop on the way home.
