12 Jolly Days of Giveaways! Dec. 3 - 14 New Prize Every Day!
Eglin Life is here to spread holiday cheer with the 12 Jolly Days of Giveaways! From Thursday, Dec. 3 to Monday, Dec. 14, we are giving away over $3,500 in prizes to 12 lucky winners. Each day on our Facebook page, we will post a different question at 10 a.m. that hints to that day's prize. All you have to do is comment with your answer by 4 p.m. to be entered to win. Click here for official rules. To get you started, here’s a sneak peek at the first question we will post at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3: “Do you have a favorite video game or do you like to switch back and forth?”
Winter Reading Program Dec. 1, 2020 - Jan. 30, 2021 Join the Eglin Library for its first-ever Winter Reading
Program! Readers of all ages are invited to log reading minutes through Beanstack and earn cool incentives. All incentives can be picked up from the Library (Bldg 843, first floor) once earned. Stop by the library or head to www.eglinlibrary.com to register! (850) 882-9308

One-Day Get Golf Ready Dec. 5 | 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Develop your golf skills in less than a day! The Eglin Golf Course presents "Get Golf Ready!"—a Saturday golf lesson for beginners or those who need a refresher. "Get Golf Ready!" is a nationwide initiative by the USGA, PGA, PGA Tour and LPGA to engage golfers, and the lessons are taught by Eglin's LPGA Professional. Topics of instruction include putting and chipping, using the right clubs, golf course etiquette, and the rules of the game. Each lesson can accommodate three to six participants, and the cost is $70 per person with lunch included. (850) 882-2949
RecOn Axe Throwing Dec. 6 | 11:50 a.m.
Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation on a trip to the axe-throwing range! Cost is $15 per person for 90 minutes of throwing time. Trip is limited to 12 people; parent/guardian signature is required for under age 18. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. Participants must provide their own transportation to The Ratchet Hatchet (304 Perry Ave SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL). Sign up at Outdoor Rec. RecOn Indoor Shooting Range Trip Dec. 12 | 7:50 a.m. or 10:50 a.m.
Eglin Outdoor Recreation is excited to visit Emerald Coast Indoor Shooting & Sport, the Florida Panhandle's newest and most modern indoor shooting range! Participants will each receive a pistol and 100 rounds of ammunition to use at their leisure, and the trip includes 1-hour each of instruction and lane time with two private instructors. Outdoor Rec has reserved the Pistol Range featuring ten 15-yard shooting lanes. Cost is $25 per person. Participants must be at least 13 years old and must wear closed-toed shoes and t-shirts; no spaghetti straps, tank tops or similar. Participants may provide their own transportation to the Emerald Coast Indoor Shooting Range (685 Valparaiso Pkwy, Valparaiso, FL). Arrival time is 7:50 a.m. Register now at Outdoor Rec. Ugly Sweater Shuffle Dec. 19 | 9 a.m. Shotgun Start
The Eglin Golf Course invites you to put on your holiday worst and get in on the competition at the Ugly Christmas Sweater Shuffle! All golfers must have a current USGA Handicap to play. Play is two-person 6-6-6 tournament format on the Falcon course with 50% of the team’s total handicap. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers — and to the ugliest sweater! Entry fees are $30 for Gold AGF Members, $40 for Silver AGF Members, and $50 for Non-Members & Guests. Entry fee includes cart fees, green fees, range balls, prizes and lunch following play. FB.com/EglinLife OFFICIAL RULES: Everyone with authorized access to Eglin, ages 18 and older, is eligible to enter each day between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to win the daily prize. Entries are limited to one per person per day. Winners will be selected at random and contacted before announced on Facebook. Prizes must be picked up from the 96 FSS Marketing office no later than Monday, Dec. 21.
