Library Patron Appreciation Day Dec. 17 | 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. The Eglin Library wants to say "thank you" with its Patron Appreciation Day! Stop by the Library on Thursday, Dec. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and enjoy coffee, tea and candy canes. Virtual Jingle Bell Jog 5K Dec. 18 - 21
Submit Time By Noon Dec. 21
Whether you love running marathons or prefer a leisurely stroll, get movin during the holidays with the Virtual Jingle Bell Jog 5K! The first 25 participants will get a t-shirt, and everyone who participates is entered in a holiday ham giveaway! Participating in a virtual race is a cakewalk. First, register through the Eglin Fitness Center by stopping by or calling (850) 882-6223. Next, walk or run the 5K wherever you want and use a stopwatch or exercise-tracking app to record your time. Last, post a picture of you and your 5K completion time to the Fitness Center’s Facebook page by 12 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21. If you cannot post your picture on Facebook, then email your submission to A1C Glazier (liliana.glazier@us.af.mil).

Ugly Sweater Shuffle Dec. 19 | 9 a.m. Shotgun Start
The Eglin Golf Course invites you to put on your holiday worst and get in on the competition at the Ugly Christmas Sweater Shuffle! All golfers must have a current USGA Handicap to play. Play is two-person 6-6-6 tournament format on the Falcon course with 50% of the team’s total handicap. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers — and to the ugliest sweater! Entry fees are $30 for Gold AGF Members, $40 for Silver AGF Members, and $50 for Non-Members & Guests. Entry fee includes cart fees, green fees, range balls, prizes and lunch following play. RecOn Axe Throwing Dec. 19 | 11:50 a.m.
Join Eglin Outdoor Recreation on a trip to the axe throwing range! Cost is $15 per person for 90 minutes of throwing time. Trip is limited to 12 people; parent/guardian signature is required for under age 18. Closed-toed shoes are recommended. Sign up at Outdoor Rec. Bloody Mary Golf Tournament Jan. 1 | 9 a.m. Shotgun Start
Swing in the New Year at the Eglin Golf Course's annual Bloody Mary Golf Tournament! Format is a 2-person scramble with 50% of the team’s total handicap on the Eagle course. The event kicks off at 7 a.m. with a bar and bloody mary specials, and breakfast will be served from 7 to 8:45 a.m. Players must have a current USGA Handicap to participate.
