Everyone's invited to Chef Ernie's at the Eglin Golf Course, to enjoy a holiday event featuring the best in holiday dining and live entertainment. A menu featuring 3-course dining will be available from 5-10 pm along with a children's menu.

Josh Sirten will entertain from 6 - 9 pm with "Rat Pack" holiday tunes made famous by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darren, and more. The dance floor will be open and Santa is sure to make an appearance. Admission is $10 per person, plus the price of your meal. Dining at Chef Ernie's is always open to the public. Holiday Meal at The Breeze

Tuesday, December 25

Lunch: 11 am - 1 pm | Dinner: 5 - 6 pm The Breeze Dining Facility is hosting its annual Holiday Meal on Christmas Day, and all Team Eglin personnel and families are invited to enjoy the feast!

Reservations are not required. A full banquet of holiday favorites will be available a la carte and individually priced. (An estimated meal cost is $10-$15.) Entrée selections are Roast Beef, Ham, and Rotisserie Chicken.

Side items include Twice Baked Potatoes, Red Bliss Smashed Potatoes, Broccoli with Carrots & Red Peppers, and Smokey Greens, and more. A children's menu will also be available, featuring Chicken Tenders and Mac & Cheese. Breakfast dining will be continental style, served 6:30-9 am.

Chef Ernie's Holiday Catering & Meals To Go Available Through the New Year

Chef Ernie's catered dining is sure to make your holiday season a delicious one!

Catered selections include buffet and plated dining, as well as complete Fried Turkey Family Meals with sides available "To Go." Orders must be placed 48 hours prior to pick-up time. For pick-up orders, Chef Ernie's will be open until noon on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve, and all the days in between. All Eglin personnel and families are invited to a Friday Cookout at The Bayview, featuring a FREE buffet for Bayview members and their immediate family. (Admission is $5 for all others, ages 3 and up.) Fill up on a delicious "all-you-can-eat" menu of Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips and all the fixin's. • Baby Signs Workshop

Join us for a Baby Signs Workshop to learn the benefits of introducing and using sign language to communicate with your baby. You'll learn basic signs, strategies, and techniques. The workshop is presented by the Panhandle Parent to Parent Educators as a part of the Eglin Library's Toddler Time program. The workshop is open to parents and kids. No registration is required.

• Polar Bear Plunge

Ready for a genuinely "chilling" experience? Eglin Outdoor Recreation will present its 9th annual Polar Bear Plunge at Postl Point Beach, immediately following the Eglin Fitness Center's 1-Mile Resolution Run that starts at 7 am. Participation is FREE for all base personnel, and all ages are welcome. Bring a towel and a warm change of clothes.

It's a new year — hit the ground running! Come out and join the Eglin Fitness Center for the annual Resolution Run. This year's event features a 1-mile fun run from the start/finish line at Postl Point, where the annual Polar Bear Plunge will take place immediately following the run. Participation is FREE for all base personnel, and all ages are welcome. Runners are asked to be in place by 6:45 am for a 7 am start time. Be one of the first 30 participants to register in person at the Eglin Fitness Center by Friday, January 11, and receive a FREE event t-shirt!

• Mountain Bike Trip

Northwest Florida may not have mountains — but it does have a plentiful array of nature trails and wooded paths. Eglin Outdoor Recreation invites you to explore with them on a Mountain Biking Trip for riders of all skill levels, ages 16 and up. Cost is $20 per person and includes transportation to the trail head, plus bicycle and helmet rental. Riders should meet at Postl Point for an 8 a.m. departure time.

Mardi Gras Trip to New Orleans

Phoenix Suns game on March 16 at 6 pm and the Pelicans vs. LA Lakers game on March 31 at 5 pm. The first 20 people to claim spots (limit 2 per person) at eglinitt@us.af.mil at 11 am on Jan. 15 will have 24 hours to pay $50 per person to secure their reservation.
