Future of EuroGames
Board meetings
With only a few days to go to EuroGames 2008 in Barcelona, we are already having talks with interested parties wanting to host future EuroGames. Several EGLSF memberclubs are working on a bidbook which they will propose at the AGA 2009 in The Hague. As we will have bids for both small and big EuroGames, according to our statutes and bylaws, EGLSF will have to decide on forehand what kind of EuroGames we will have in 2011 and also in 2012. We will do so after having talked with all interested parties and the EuroGames Advisory Committee.
EGLSF Board’s next meeting is in Barcelona on July 23, just before the EuroGames start. The board also hold a teleconference on July 6. The focus was on the upcoming EuroGames, and finishing other outstanding business.
EuroGames Advisory Committee At the AGA 2008 in Rome the initiative of Johan van de Ven to revive the EuroGames Advisory Committee has been approved. This committee, chaired by Beppo Brem, will consist of boardmembers of former EuroGames organisers. Lou Manders is liaison to the board of EGLSF. The committee will plan a meeting with interested parties preparing a bid for hosting EuroGames in 2011 or 2012. This meeting will take place between end of August and end of October this year
Last call for EuroGames 2011 and 2012! In order to have fruitful talks with all parties and the EuroGames Advisory committee, we urge all EGLSF memberclubs who want to express their interest in proposing a bid for EuroGames

Another outcome is to be an annually held National Summit. Pride Sports will be looking for resources to make sure both these goals are achieved. http://www.pridesports.org
