• Every student receives at least one guidance interview each year • Each certified counselor is responsible for specific homeroom sections per grade • Counseling topics include: personal, academic, college,career & discipline • Group counseling topics include anger control, relationships, study skills, stress management, orientation for transfer students, etc. • Counseling sessions are always personal and confidential • Students are encouraged to walk in at any time • Crisis intervention provided • Referral services available for extensive counseling situations • Seniors and Juniors receive information folders during interview • Juniors receive Career Assessment Inventory in October and “Making Your College Search Count” Assembly in March • Freshmen receive small group orientation to the Guidance Office in September • Counselors available to assist in Course Selection • Students with quarterly failures interviewed

• Weekly Progress Reports available for parents • Counselors available before and after school for parent meetings • Financial Aid Night & College/Trade School Night offered annually • Students notified about all area College Fairs (Judge hosts the Catholic College Fair in the Fall) • All Seniors receive Scholarship Bulletins monthly • All Underclassmen receive homeroom bulletins regarding summer programs • Computer Programs & Internet available for college/trade school information, scholarship searches, career information & job hunting process • Guidance Library has over 200 books available to sign out – topics include college/trade school info & application process, career opportunities, scholarship & financial aid info, SAT/PSAT prep, personal issues, etc. • Catalogues/View books/Applications available for over 250 schools • Armed forces info and Academy View books available for all branches • Financial Aid Forms (FAFSAs) and information available • Transcript requests processed including Final Transcript in June • SAT registration material available • SAT exam offered at Judge six times per year; PSAT given in October • Coordination of Rep Visits from Colleges, Trade Schools, & Military • NCAA eligibility and registration information available and processed • Job Board for posting of jobs, and applications for working papers available • Selective Service Registration provided
